I think Frazier was still taking a lot of punishment that night.

I mean everyone has there own opinion though. But I think if he was getting hit like that against a bigger punchers who are also pretty athletic and sit on there punches more than Ali he could have been in some problems taking that much punishment.

He would have advantages in stamina and workrate and inside game. I think most heavyweights would struggle to keep up with him in those areas.

I love this spelling of Frazier. It has a certain exotic air.

FOTC Frazier sounds like a damn Goku transformation

As much as i love Frazier i'd still bet on other heavyweights to beat him in his FOTC Version

I mean I still think he loses to guys like Foreman, Liston, etc. But there’s no guarantee he’d be “getting hit like that” by any puncher as you seem to imply. He was in the ring with the most accurate heavyweight of all time. And managed the highest slip and duck rate against him.

Ok fair enough Ali was very fast and pretty accurate that night. A slow puncher may not have hit him that much that's a fair criticism of my comment.

Still I think he took quite a lot of hits though generally speaking. I definitely didn't mean any puncher obviously we are talking at a certain level.

    Hi Buddy.
Like your nice polite and measured reply to Swag, that said I am in total agreement with you that Frazier took a lot of hits in the fight, in fact he was punished badly, and I don't know if Swag has seen a computer printout, or an article to the effect that Frazier managed to " slip and duck " the highest rate against him, it sure didn't support the damage that was done to his face, he finished looking like the elephant man.
stay safe OddR, enjoyed your contributions thus far, look forward to many more.
    Mike.

He smokes most heavyweight greats including every version of Ali. But no one is truly undefeatable, Liston, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis, possibly Vitali at their best would be a challenge for him.

I haven't seen many guys that believe FOTC Frazier to be the GOAT at Heavyweight, but I'm sure there's people on this forum who'd agree. I've seen far wilder opinions, and I've held far wilder opinions.

Most of the common, well sensible guys will say Ali was the best- So even if most don't agree with Joe being on top, Frazier having a scalp like that on his resume is pretty priceless.

Welcome to the forum by the way (I think I replied to one of your posts in the training forum earlier this week), sweet Volg pfp you got. Hope you enjoy your stay.
