The Thai amateur star Rujakran Juntrong win against the Laotian Thongnin Xayyaseng (this morning today in Europe afternoon in Thailand) by unanimous decision. He showed extraordinary defense, with very varied shots and aerial boxing. However he lacks power and his hands are low but the defense is very good. On the other hand, like almost all Thai boxers and like Navapon Khaikanha for example, he only works on series of 2 shots. Also it is a bit small and lacks power compared to the Super Featherweight division. But his lack of power is difficult to say because his Laotian opponent has never been knocked out and has great resistance. Concerning his movements, like Yuttapong Tongdee, he is capable of making very rapid lateral movements to escape from his opponent's pressure.

He looks pretty damn good, but that KD shows that he is a little reckless at times. It should have been scored a KD against him, because he ran face first into a jab and got put on his ass. And he completely dropped his arms after the 4th, but I can´t tell if it was due to fatigue or frustration.
Yes definetely I agree the fact that he dropped his arms is not reassuring but in the same style we had in the past Tepparith Kokietgym and he still had a great career. His defense is good but I fear that one day he will take a wide hook or a right to the chin which will knock him out like Apinun Khongsong recently.
3 May 2025 for his second professionnal fights he will fight at World Siam Stadium of Bangkok against the Japanese who fight for Thailand Ayumu Miyakami 23 years old 5 wins (3KOs) undefeated. It will be a 8 rounds at Lightweight division.
the other guy Thongnin Xayyasen, seems pretty tasty for a guy with no wins. going the distance with every guy and former am stars and world title challenger....anyone know if he is being promoted?
His promoter in Boxing is Taweesin Laosuwanwat he always fought for him. But like the other tough Laotian warrior in Boxing Thailand Xolieng Souvannaphakdy he have a career in Muay Lao / Muay Thai. And he is from a small gym in Thailand / Laos. I know them well (Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia) because they was part from Indochina (French colony).
Both are Laotians who lives at the border of Thailand (Isaan) they speak Thai dialect from Isaan & Laotian, different alphabet but both can understand each others when they speak. Which means that Laos & Thailand have a friendship because a lot of peoples from Isaan works in Laos and the contrary too. Like a Belgian from the French part and a French from France in the North. This is why Cambodia have a good rivalry with Thailand because it's not true for them they can't understand a word from each other. Like a German with a English.
Macedoine.. who are the up and comers from Thailand... Im visiting Thailand for a month this summer and would love to see a fight in Bangkok if any are going on.. What are the chances of Yuttapong winning in his 118 pound fight later in the summer?
I would say that Yuttapong Tongdee have honestly a 40% chance of winning against Yoshiki Takei but the fight will be in Japan (Yokohama). If you are only at Bangkok I advise you to watch Nong O vs Kongtoranee II in Muay Thaï One Championship in the New Lumpinee Stadium the 31th May. https://m.thaiticketmajor.com/sport/one-fight-night-31.html
No I don't think, I think he will be very fast like a Palangpol CP Freshmart for a world title championship. We have to keep an eye on him. He's really very technical and still young for a boxer with a big amateur career. And he is almost unique because he don't have a Muay Thai career like almost all Thais boxers.
How is Boxing viewed in Thailand vis a vis Muay Thai? Is it overshadowed or is it actually seen as a prominent sport as there is more money to be made internationally in boxing.
