Nah, I like Nick Ball, he’s a step below elite though. If Inoue can beat Espinoza I’d rank him above Usyk though, but idk if that fight ever happens or if he can win that fight. He beats Ball most likely, though Ball has a small chance if he makes it rough and wild.
If Inoue beats MJ then moves up to clear out 126 to become 3 time undisputed champ then maybe. It also depends on if Crawford manages to beat Canelo this year.
It´s going to be hard to top Crawford beating Canelo, but as it stands right now - Inoue clearly has the superior resume.
Crawford beating Canelo and becoming a 3 time undisputed champ is definitely going to be hard for Inoue to top. Even if Inoue also manages to becomes undisputed in 3 weight classes down the road there's no one else on his resume close to the caliber of Canelo outside of Donaire.
Canelo... Who now exclusively fights against opponents i have no interest in seeing him fight. He is on his way out and has periods of struggling against opposition he would have demolished in his prime. He is definitely not as good as he was and thus worth less if you beat him. Crawford is one of my favorite fighters of the past years but I am annoyed with him for not fighting in forever just to eventually secure this stupid freak fight against past prime canelo supposedly for legacy but presumably for money.
Depends on what the other guys do. I think that run might be enough to dethrone Usyk assuming his next two fights would be Parker and Dubois. Chances are he'll be retired by the point the Inoue Junto fight would happen anyways. If Crawford manages to beat Canelo in September though, then he'd be number one over them both for a while. Atleast until he goes back to being inactive while Inoue stays active.
But think about it, Usyk has announced he is only doing two more bouts and both are to happen within a year. By the time Inoue is finished running the gauntlet in the OP it should be moot as Usyk will be retired.
Yes fair assessment. Ball doesn't beat MJ though. An Inoue win over Ball is no great shakes, expect him to destroy Ball if I'm being honest
