I also think Usyk is playing with fire here. He has admittedly got out of shape -- says he's 110kg at the moment. Means that for the first time he hasn't been living the life. And Dubois is young, hungry, has good hand speed, and is a murderous puncher. I get it, Usyk beat him once, but who knows a second time. Usyk is very much ripe for an upset. They all hang on too long.

Usyk and his team obviously see something to suggest that DDD is there for the taking and Usyk can repeat the first outcome.

Worth mentioning by the time this fight happens Dubois will have been out of the ring for close to a year. Maybe it was a smart move calling him out as soon as he pulled from the Parker fight.

Even a faded Usyk has the craftiness to beat a guy like DDD imo.

Obviously Parker is the elephant in the room here. Will be iinteresting to see how DDD will field the endless questions about that in the lead up.

Could be a dangerous fight for Olek.

Sure, he’s wiser to Dubois after fight 1 but he’s been trending downward and isn’t getting any younger of course.

For his part, Dubois appears more committed to hang tough. Not to take anything away from Usyk, he was winning handily when the fight ended - but it was a meek surrender on Dubois’ part in fight 1. He appears to have a little bit more steely resolve now.

Imo, fight 1 against Dubois signalled a more aggressive approach from a deteriorating Usyk - which was good prep for the fight vs Fury, during which Olek’s more badly intended offence bloomed more fully.

However, totally agree that Dubois’ performances against the bigger more plodding fighters might be a bit misleading as to Dubois’s apparent improvements since the first Usyk fight.

All in all, at the least, I could see a bit more difficult fight for Usyk than he enjoyed the first time around.

Will Dubois come to the fight to expressly foul like he did in the first fight? Hell yeah, the dude can’t himself in that regard. He’s even admitted he does whatever it takes - and he did same vs Hrgovic.

How well will the appointed ref manage/regulate Dubois in respect of same - who knows?

Oh FFS no one wants to see this fight surely… what’s the story? Will DDD land another debatable low blow and get outclassed again? Yawn.

Usyk by lopsided points / late stoppage.

But watch for Dubois using the head and as many low blows as he can!!!!

Dubois needs to keep his head low and keep driving it into Usyk's face whilst pounding him around the belt-line

Bah. I'd much rather see Parker.

But it seems that Dubois has the boxing powers behind him and we are going to have to see the rematch instead. Well ok.

As long as Usyk takes him seriously he ought to win again.

Anyone know if there is a rematch clause in this fight? Dubois has enough power that he can score a KO here, plus with a dirty ref Dubois has a better chance.

I think Uysk by stoppage or on points but Dubois winning wouldn't shock me to much.

He only did it because Bricktop Warren told him to do it.

But I'll give DDD props...way better dressed than Usyk, who was wearing pajamas.

Usyk is a nice guy why would Dubois push him? Now he’s messed up by making him angry. I think the fight is going to finish even quicker than last time.

Yeah go ahead and rile Usyk up. Ended so well for Marco Huck didn't it  Not exactly inspiring confidence that Dubois immediately backed up when Usyk just kinda motioned toward him either.

Calling it now, Dubois' newfound confidence will be gone by the third round. I'm picking Usyk to end this by the halfway point.

This version of Daniel Dubois in my opinion is the most finely tuned, no nonsense, big style, heavyweight championship boxer that's ever competed in the squared circle.

If Usyk beats this version of Dubois he'll go down as the greatest heavyweight of all time.
