For those who think it was not a low blow, but a good body shot, answer me this...

Why would Usyk fight him again? He could retire, fight Parker, fight Kabeyal, fight Wardley (WBA #1), go back to cruiser, try bridger, fight his semi-exhibition against Pereira, fight Beterbiev, fight Fury again, and on and on.

If he legit got knocked down and out by a body shot, then why fight the young behemoth that did it to him again when he is under no obligation?

I think he looks at this as an easy fight.

It's just another hater talking point that no one but hardcore fans will remember in 5 years.

Remember Fury's "controversial" pushing of Whyte after landing that uppercut? Me neither.

Fact . Usyk should have been counted out, but he was the very clear A side against Dubois, so obviously he was protected.

You're asking why is he fighting Dubois again? Because like 99% of the fighters, Usyk has self belief and thinks he can be triumphant. It's nothing unique to world class fighters. Honestly, Dubois is a top fighter, but he's very limited, as is most of the HW division. Let's not pretend that the HW division is on par with FW, BW, FW, LW, WW, or LMW.

Maybe it's on Par with MW, or Cruiserweight, but it obviously lacks talent.

Anyway, Usyk is definitely the most talented HW in boxing today. But being honest, that's not saying much. Look at tape of HWs in the 80s, even 90s, and you can clearly see we are in a very weak HW era.

    It was a clear lowblow.

Still... I can see why Usyk would take the fight - he might just feel like beating a better Dubois whilst more declined himself would shut the nonsense up for good?

Besides which, Dubois is clearly near the top of the division and pulls decent numbers... In terms of business/money - why not?

Ageing Usyk yet again being the Alpha dog and stepping into his opponent’s backyard against what is a prime, confident and massively improved younger champion in Dubois. If Usyk knows for a second that he blagged his way out of a genuine body shot KO in the first fight, then he’s an absolute fearless MF. The shot was low, this is all about becoming a three time, 2 weight undisputed champion in the four belt era.

Usyk is a bit overconfident at this point. Obviously a brave guy, but he's never been beaten so it can make people a little overconfident.
Do I think Usyk is superior to Dubious? Obviously. But Usyk is closing in on forty and is massively undersized in comparison. He can lose to Dubious. Then you add PEDs, Britain, and we see it's a recipe for a disaster.

But when people think they are invincible and also want the money, it can make them delusional. On top of that Usyk thinks god will protect him and I guarantee that is not the case. God made Dubious and that says it all. Would you trust anyone who made Dubious? I sure as hell wouldn't.

So then we come to the low blow. Yes it was a low blow but it was close enough that it would be let go by Howard Foster or any British ref, along with any US ref. That's why they were smart to have the fight in Poland.

Let's spin it another way, imagine Fury got hit by that in Germany against Wlad, the Wlad who butted Fury in plain sight and the ref didn't even warn him. That would not have been called low and Fury would have to fight on.

Ward also hit Kovalev with similar shots and they were ignored.

So Usyk's caution paid off back then but now he's getting reckless putting everything in the favour of Team Dubious.

    Belly button punches are legal

    Khan Judah etc

it was a great placed and well timed shot and of course he didn't get preference from a referee who is Usyk sided as proven before. People like to ignore that AJ landed legal really nice body shots on Usyk also that that ref and Usyk complained about. Right hook to the body peach and I rarely give AJ praise so that makes my statements fact. Video proof.

Hey and I'm a Usyk fan and expect him to perform in the rematch barring age and decline issues.

Usyk clearly wants this rematch because he must feel very feel that he can do better which should concern dubious but dubious is dangerous no matter what.

I remember when Fury beat Steve Cunningham by leaning on his head and then throwing an uppercut (he caught Wilder the same way and scored a KD).

Pepperidge Farm remembers when Fury got a gift decision over John McDermott.

Fight game, pro boxing is not for puffs who are overly scrupulous about rules. It's about fighting two hairy men with high levels of testosterone and clenbuterole going toe to toe. If a little palming gets you KO'd then it's your problem ignoring the fact Steve could have got up but didn't knowing big momma Fury was coming for his soul.

This does have all the traits of a banana peel fight. I still think Usyk wins, but much stranger things have happened in boxing.

Because besides that body shot, it was an easy fight.

I'm not Usyk and I can't say what he really felt. But I see shots like that in every fight and the referee doesn't bat an eye.

I think this is a discredit to Usyk tbh. He's not or has ever been a fighter that goes after easy fights.
