Wlad was superior in most departments, I think he'd grind out a points victory.

Bowe was nasty at his best. I'd back him to get in first with Wlad having a punchers chance. Given a good neutral strict ref Wlad would get carved up inside.

He could catch Wlad but he risks getting caught himself.

Anytime you step in the ring you risk getting caught. That's why i said i think Bowe would get in first. But there's no chance the fight is over with Bowe never getting inside. Almost all of them got inside on Wlad, that's why he has such a legendary reputation for sucking the life out of fights clinching.

He's got a great right tho, and it would indeed be dangerous. Bowe can fight, and bang, from the outside as well tho. There's every chance he could tag Wlad from the outside with a booming overhand right.

Admittedly it's a shame Wlad doesn't have a better chin. It's why sometimes he can be a worry in these hypotheicals.

Completely agree. I think Bowes got the extra meanness and aggression that turns this fight his way.

I am shocked by these results. Bowe is bigger, better, stronger, and meaner than the guys that flattened Wlad. Wlad has a tiny chance of a stoppage victory if he lands something really big, but, Bowe has pretty good recuperative powers. Bowe has just as good a chance of knocking Wlad out early if he lands something hard first. If the fight goes past mid rounds, it would turn into a dogfight. And, Wlad has NEVER won a dogfight. He lost all 4 times a fighter actually gave him resistance back. Make no mistake, Bowe would be in there throwing with bad intentions.

Not surprised at all , the thread is riddled with Klitschko-Stan alt accounts. They don't like hearing about a guy like Bowe beating their idol.
Make a case for Bowe beating Lewis and it draws no ire.

Anyway as most people know , Boxing is majority a mental sport. It comes down to whose mentally tougher. Thats obviously not the guy who turned his back from the combat in 3 fights - Peter , Povetkin , Fury.
Furthermore , Bowe is known for delivering a great uppercut. WK is known for upper cutting himself.. lol the simps will be furious.

At his best, Bowe stops him.

    This.
Wlad grabs and clinches his way to a very predictable victory in a snoozefest of a "fight".

The problem with this theory is that, unlike the multiple no-hopers that gave up against Wlad, Bowe would be turning it into a street fight if necessary. He wouldn't be satisfied cruising to a decision loss. I just don't think Wlad would handle that type of aggression from a SKILLED big man well. Same reason I pick Lennox Lewis over Wlad.

The results don’t surprise me at all! Lol It shows most posters here know boxing and know that Wladimir is one of the most talented heavyweights to ever live.

The other thing is… bowe NEVER fought anyone with the power that Wlad had combined with the reach, height AND footwork he had. I mean bowe got outboxed by 6’2 215lb Evander and nearly STOPPED by him in their 3rd fight despite having some sort of breakdown/episode :lol::lol: And had that ‘Fan man’ parachute guy not disrupted their rematch… holyfield might have gotten bowe out of there in that one!

Don’t get me wrong a well trained and ready bowe was a good fighter but he wasn’t the guy that’s just going to go in and BLITZ out a prime Wladimir. Lol  He’d get put to sleep by a right hand harder than any shot Jorge, 215lb holyfield or Golota dropped him with.

Wladimir at his best did his best when other fighters came in and put pressure on him. It really forced him to let his hands go. Look at derrick jefferson, Chagaev, Pulev, brewster both fights and so on.

Despite Bowe having more tools in the bag, a lot more bottle, from a supposedly better era, it's one of those fights that would be an unexpected one sided beating. I think Wlad is just at another level power wise, he would bust up Bowe and get the stoppage.

Do not see Bowe holding up defensively whatsoever against this guys punches. I think he is wide open for right hands and left hooks from a taller opponent. I like Riddick against opposition he holds all the physical cards against. And he still got hit a ton.

The Bowe footwork is a big subtraction as well. He was a plodder & faster feet would be neded against this guy. That lack of mobility would see wlad landing like 2/3 of his punches. Then add to that lack of head movement and he really had poor boxing radar as well. And even the Futch touch did not help those flaws much. Imagine bowe with a lesser trainer---yikes.
