Fundora has opted to drop his WBO belt. He will now rematch Tszyu on July 19th in Las Vegas.

Zayas will face Jorge Garcia Perez next for the vacant belt.

Weird and interesting turn of events for the division. Seems like PBC did Top Rank a favor and had Fundora drop the belt. Then again, Perez isn't no schmuck.

    WAR Tszyu! :ggg

I'm totally down for this! First fight was bloody great (no pun intended). I'm sure this rematch will be just as good. I think Tszyu pulls it off this time.

It won't be easy for King Timmy. Beanstalk isn't coming in off a devastating kayo loss this time. He'll start the fight much better.

Great chance for the King to reclaim a crown though.

This is very good news. The rematch should be better than the 1st. Both fighters will be prepared for eachother. Fundora has a few fights under his belt with his new style.

Two great fights to be fair.

I can see Tszyu pulling the win off this time if he is at his best.

Perez beat Conwell and should be a great test for Zayas in which Conwell failed.

Hell yes, time for Tim to right the wrong! Or, if you're a Fundora backer, time for him to prove he didn't need the cut to win. Either way, great fight for both, and Perez-Zayas is also a damn good fight. Throw in the possibility of Murtazaliev-Thurman and 154 is looking on fire :ggg

I'm curious though... will the WBO strip Fundora and Bud at the same time, or will they let Bud be champion for a few days? They said they'd strip him as soon as his fight with Canelo was announced, but they also said they'd make him the mandatory at 168 if he asked. Doesn't really matter either way, but it sure would be funny if Bud was briefly Unified champion despite not intending to fight here again :sisi1

The rematch will definitely answer some questions.

Even Fundoras sister could beat Tim now.

Rematch is deserved but Tim will regret taking on the Scarecrow again.

Hope the commission issues compulsory elbow cushioning pads to the lanky one this time!

This is going to be great both guys will have a full camp to prepare for each other.
If Tszyu can get back to his best form I favor him to win this time by decision or late stoppage.
Big respect to both guys for making this fight now instead of waiting these are throwback fighters.

It’s career defining for Tszyu. Avenge the loss and he’s back in the mix with those at the top of the tree. Lose and he is relegated to gatekeeper status with very few options going forward.

Make no mistake, this is a huge fight.

Tszyu minus the blinding blood will make amends.
