If Fury / AJ 3 happens for his last bout then it is 100% Usyk ducking imo. Absolutely pointless.

I have the feeling Usyk's team are banking on Parker and Kabayel facing each other at some point. It'd be foolish for them though considering both are sitting on mandos. They could just wait 'till a vacancy / Usyk retirement instead.

I think you guys should all relax. In the last six months, he has said me might retire, fight until he is 40, go back to cruiser, fight two more at heavy, fight Periera, fight Jake Paul in MMA, possibly make more movies, do WWE, do exhibitions, trilogy with Fury or Joshua, fight in Ukraine, maybe against Chisora...

I think it is time to acknowledge that he has no idea what he wants to do.

I think Usyk will fight the winner of Fury v AJ for his last fight.

The only reason to fight either again is money. Give someone deserving a shot, instead of fighting Brit bums to stuff his pockets.

Usyk deserves criticism if he takes on Joshua or Fury again for a 3rd time that would be an absolute farce.

Fighting the same opponents 8 times and them all being British and people want to say Usyk is one of the GOAT Heavyweight I'm sorry but you can naff off with that statement.

Usyk is a great fighter but I'll lose a bit of respect of him if he fights either Fury or Joshua again.

So he should just remain silent not throw all of this out. He's becoming like the fighters we don't like cause they talk too much.

If Usyk beats Dubois and fights Fury or AJ again, I'm 100% considering him retired. In that case, he better drop the WBO for Parker.

Some interesting takes in this thread so far. Think I can agree on some level that Usyk isn’t sure yet and none of this is set in stone.

Although I can’t help but speculate that the rumblings of fury coming back, likely for an AJ fight will be the set up for deciding who gets the trilogy fight with Usyk. It’s definitely disappointing as fan to get the option of two pointless fights as the final farewell of such a talent.

Parker and Kabayel definitely deserve there shot more so than fury, AJ and even Dubois, fighters he’s taken care of convincingly before.

Can we honestly say it’s surprising though? Has Usyk really shown much care of being a “defending champion”? Usyk had basically speed-run his entire professional career. Getting belts and moving on quickly. I don’t think Usyk really had much desire to be a defending champion. The fact he took the Dubois rematch to become undisputed again instead of taking on new challenges that would reflect better on his legacy shows that imo, but hey 2x undisputed at heavyweight ain’t bad either lol.

Now that he’s reached his goals of gaining all the belts I just don’t believe Usyk cares to defend his belts. Think will get these last few fights more so as good pay days against fighters who he knows he has there number.

No and no. Not interested in either. Time to move on from both.

Yeah, if he wins, he will join Ali and Patterson in the "2x undisputed heavyweight champion" club. That's a very nice club to be in.

Yeah except Usyk vacated the belt and Dubois won a vacated belt without actually beating the man for the belt.

So it means little to me Usyk taking back his belt from a fighter he's already beaten convincingly who was gifted his belt from Usyk himself.

Technically it's the same as the fighters you mentioned but with context it's not as impressive as it sounds.

That's true. But that's how the concept of undisputed works unfortunately. Ali is 3x undisputed because he beat Earnie Terrell, who didn't beat him for his WBA belt either.

Parker deserves a shot a whole lot more than AJ or Fury

I can't believe some people actually want to see Usyk vs Parker. Maybe it's because they feel Parker deserves a shot, and while he probably does, that would be one incredibly boring fight and I can't imagine will appeal to the casuals whatsoever. The thought of it pains me. They might even have to put it as the co-main event, maybe below the Bivol-Beterbiev trilogy or something. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind watching a fight between two technical boxers, as long as they're pretty evenly matched. Both Usyk-Fury fights were a joy to watch, for example. But it would be such a one-sided fight in favour of Usyk. I like Parker a lot personally, he's a top guy, but let's be honest, he's a poor man's Usyk, perhaps with a little bit more power, but not a lot. Heck, even Joshua out-boxed him comfortably. My ideal opponent for Usyk would be Kabayel, as he offers something different which I would love to see if Usyk can deal with.
