You can’t escape that you have to be reductive to come out with Ross ahead. He beat Canzoneri and McLarnin while also losing one of those fights.

But Floyd is the best modern fighter. He easily beat an undefeated, unified, and prime Canelo fairly easily while age 36 and in his fifth weightclass. The weigh in limit was agreed to by both sides and represented a compromise by both, and you’ll hear Canelo praising Floyd while supposed fans come with excuses. Manny was the best fighter pfp other than Floyd and Floyd beat him easily at age 38. These two results are unheard of. And then remember Floyd held titles in five weight classes and lineage in four, beating more hof fighters than Duran and Pacquiao. He’s that guy and he’ll go down ahead of Ross. Pacquiao will end up not far behind either.

    And he retired undefeated.

Oh no he fought two prime ATGs five times at their best weights & lost ONE contentious decision.. let's see Floyd fight Alvarez twice at 160 & a 2010 Manny 3 times.. pathetic attempt there. . & these results are unheard of? Are u for real? JMM starched him 2 years earlier.. How's it unheard of when the same result happened 2 years earlier.. in far more emphatic fashion too .. This is exactly the arrogance & lack of historical knowledge you're getting a pasting for.. i can pull up many examples of older fighters who beat young up & comers who went on to have excellent careers.. men like Archie Moore, Walcott, Duran, Fitzsimmons made careers out of it.. i mean wtf are Torrecampo or Singsurat TKOs over pacman if it isn't one of the best aged wins ever LOL.. unheard of .. STFU.. But but Canelo is this & that.. you could legit argue he lost at 154, 160 aswell as 175 & his 168 run is a wasteland.. plus he's a drugs cheat.. an excellent fighter but hes overrated & Floyd certainly didn't fight the best version.. & i don't get too starry eyed at these trinket belts or this multi division stuff.. its about who they beat & how & when .. this is why no one likes floyd fan girls .. they think he set the precedent in everything LMAO..

Manny was the other best fighter p4p at the time was he? You can bang the P4P drum all you like but you won't convince anyone rational that Manny wasn't past his best & floyd waited him out.. Not something you can accuse most great fighters of doing.. but I'd argue that fighters like Ward, Kovalev & Gonzalez were more deserving of p4p status at the time.. you're not the pound for pound number two in my book when you've been brutally sparked out recently & all you've done since is beat Chris Algieri & Timmeh Bradley.. just NO! That IMO was just the boxing machine marketing & hyping to sell the mega fight that everyone had wanted for years.. & that they both agreed to the weight doesn't matter to me pal.. the weight is a catch weight and that will always be an asterisk against the win.. and I don't get what Canelo praising Floyd has to do with anything.. so what he praised him, and?

Let me remind u again.. McLarnin met 15 world champions and holds more wins over fellow HOFers than anyone barring Harry Greb... 13.. Canzoneri fought 18 world champions... he fought 12 HOFers taking 9 wins against them. Ross should have beat them 5 times all in all.. let that sink in first, then you'll start to grasp how good Ross was.. how many has Canelo legit beaten again? In an era when its far easier to become a world champion due to more trinket belts & more divisions? I'll wait..

Oh & you know floyds 2lb thing.. McLarnin had 6lbs on Ross .. at WW.. he didn't fkin moan.. go read a history book first before u come at me again.

There’s no way I’m going to sit here (while taking a dump) and read that wall of text word for the word.

Floyd washed the best fighter in boxing other than himself at age 38. That’s unheard of. Or does age not count for Floyd?

You probably can only name like four fighters who Ross fought, but you’re still calling him better than Floyd because Floyd has you all up in feelings for reasons that I don’t understand.

You'll see that a lot, especially when it's 100% deserved. Some people are absolute annoyances.

Too kind DP but my secret is to only speak on what I do know.

I can’t speak for this thread atm since I haven’t read it nor been involved….but I am very familiar with the MO you have described.

I wrecked (one of his favoured but always ill applied terms) this guy via a number of posts the last time we exchanged.

 In the days when Doza went by the moniker Dr Z (for Xenophobe?) one of his most notable and oft repeated faux pas’ was referring to Luis Angel Firpo as “Frippo” -

The first time I read it, I thought wtf?, that must be one of the Marx Bros I somehow hadn’t heard of.

I wasn’t speaking to you, was I now?

Be silent and keep rockin’ and dribbling in that little darkened corner of yours. Trolls like you are a dime a dozen.

You were trying to insult not just me but multiple other members FIRST on the thread in question. The common denominator, such was the complete lack of strength to any of your arguments.

You only exposed your low IQ and own penchant to insult in the first instant and obsessive desire to be a last word freak.

Underscored by actual facts and actual logic (attributes that you are completely devoid of) I gave you just some back in kind and you absolutely went to water.

You were absolutely wrecked Ralph and you just got wrecked again.

No further correspondence required and therefore, no further correspondence entered into.

    :lol::lol::lol:

 I guess they’re good for some light sparring to keep you prepped/tuned for some real debate - some aren’t even good for that.

Yeah, there are some who treat this forum purely as an argument room. That’s all they come here for.

I love how the Pythons exemplified this concept in one of their famous skits (see below) -

However, even in their skit you had to at least pay for the privilege/indulgence - there are clowns on here expecting other members to accomodate their perversions for free.

Suffice to say, there comes a time when you have to hit the bell on these fools.

I've always loved that skit!!! My best friend and i used to have a mate, man he used to argue and contradict himself on the grog. The other mate ended up dedicating "Supertramp - Bloody Well Right" to him. If we skulled a beer for every time he said "no X, you're wrong!!!!!!!" we wouldn't be alive today.
