I'm from Ireland, barerra was definitely the underdog over here, due to brits hyping hamed

On wikipedia it says Barrera was a 3/1 underdog.

Remember he was moving up in weight too, and he still beatdown hypejob Hamed like a ragdoll :)

Mares was probably the king of low blows, the foul pole included but they let him get away with it. Bizarre really. Jeff Harding v Dennis Andries probably my fav upset.

At the time Mares was on a roll, and an impressive one. If I am not mistaken - he also had some fights lined up with Gonzales just being a stepping stone.
It was just a really satisfying upset with how smooth the knockdown and stoppage were. Plus as I said, it completely derailed his career.

Kostya Tszyu vs Jab Zudah, I was just a littleun at the time so I couldn't appreciate it in the moment, but the youtube replay of the fight has given me much pleasure.

I remember it mate. Showtime was hyping Mares like crazy. I couldn't stand the **** because he was so dirty and it was so blatant.
