You could argue that Canelo's only tested himself a couple of times since GGG2 - Jacobs and Bivol. Kovalev was past it. Saunders was inactive, Plant doesn't hit hard enough, and Smith is a tall guy without a jab.
This. I’ve seen crawford rattled by way lesser punchers than Canelo. Also crawfords added weight will slow him down. Canelo is knocking him out. Will be a fun fight to watch
You see Canelo struggle against the movement and range of Saunders, Scull, and you can't catch that Crawford is far better than all of them pfp ? Scull got wobbled by a jab from Shishkin yet Canelo didn't do anything to him. When was Canelos last KO ?
In my opinion Canelo's decline is increasingly clear but despite this I continue to see him as the favorite against Crawford. Bud is also in decline and in the last match (the 1st in the superwelter) he did not offer a great performance, in September they will fight in the super middleweight and Crawford has never felt the blows of a super middleweight. I always say Canelo (and honestly I would be happy to be wrong this time)
Crawford wins IMO, Canelo needs to become a pressure fighter again and he has never been good at that style.
I still think that Canelo will stop him. Crawford will actually try and win unlike Canelo's last few opponents and he will get caught.
I'm happy to see that opinion is relatively split on this, I wasnt too impressed when this fight was first talked about but hearing everyone's opinions it sounds like it's going to be closer than first thought. I think Crawford is going to try and stay out of trouble and pot shot his way to victory, always risky though against Canelo's judges.
