Both times he was dropped, it was from a southpaw left at an odd angle when he was completely squared up. That isn't a chin deficiency, it's foot placement.

He was completely clear and cognizant both times. Actually looked more embarrassed than hurt (didn't look hurt at all)

It's always concerning when people who hold themselves up as boxing fans don't even know the basics of positioning.

Inoue won the fight. Stank Davis got TKO in 9.

    Deal with it.

This was such a lame comeback that it took me a few seconds to figure out the reference. And I didn’t mention Tank. The man lives rent free.

Inoue is a great fighter, certainly. But his mandible has to be considered suspect now. It remains to be seen if it turns out to be more like Felix Trinidad or Tommy Hearns.

Astonishingly well thought out and non hysterical reply. Unusual.

I seriously wonder how many of you questioning Inoue's chin have ever laced up the gloves and traded blows in a ring. Saying he has a suspect chin because he went down from walking into a punch is crazy. As is questioning anyone's chin from just one KD. The effect that a punch has on someone can be really hard to predict. You can see a fighter take power shot after power shot and shrug it off but then just get grazed and their legs are gone. That doesn't mean they have a weak chin, it means that punch happened to hit in just the right way to rattle brain and concuss them. You only question someone's chin when they exhibit a consistent pattern of no punch resistance, not from an isolated incident.

Inoue can't continue to be hit like that, he will get slepted by better opponents.

Let's just say, for argument's sake, that Inoue's whiskers might be more vulnerable at the higher weights. Both those shots he got dropped with would've slept Roy so hard everyone would think they'd witnessed a miracle akin to Lazarus rising from the dead when Roy eventually regained consciousness

Similar to that of Manny Pacquiao. Two guys with average chins without much too defense and often putting their chins in harms way . I see Naoya going straight to sleep soon

Understandable given the fact he is moving up weight divisions. But difficiencies tend to show themselves when fighting bigger men, guys your own size, or a better level of competition.
