With the Canelo fight coming up, is it fair to say Crawford is a Superstar now?

This fight pretty much tells me that Crawford is retiring.

 

Superstars can sell 200k-300k (maybe more, I'm being generous) PPV without another star. Even now, I don't believe Crawford can do that.

 

Hate to say it, but now days in order for a black american fighter to be a superstar they have to be either flamboyant and boisterous or always in trouble and connected to controversy. Crawford is neither, which is good in my opinion. But it hurts his star power.

 

There aren’t any american boxing stars right now, last week there was Garcia but that went out the window.

 

You don't consider Gervonta Davis a PPV Star?

 

He's a superstar in the same way Charlo is a superstar when he faced Canelo.

I don't consider any of the current boxers superstars. Canelo was a for a little while, and even the Mexican fight fans I know don't really buy his ppvs anymore. Crawford isn't much of a name either. An excellent fighter, but not a superstar.
