All but confirmed expect an official announcement soon. This is great exposure for Fundora and Tszyu as a lot of people will be tuning in to see the return of the legend Pacquiao. I am looking forward to this one.

It's sad when legends can't call it a day, and it'll be sad to watch him bow out against with an inevitable loss against someone like Barrios, who he would've taken out in a couple of rounds in his prime. You're right about the exposure for Tszyu, but I think Tim is done now. That was a horrific loss to Bakhram, and it will have taken a huge toll mentally. I'd be surprised if he beats Fundora.

I made a thread, which said something like, ‘who is the last world champion born in the 70s?’ This here is one of the better opportunities for that to happen once again, but I seriously doubt Pacquiao wins.

He lost to Ugas like 4 years ago who Barrios then dominated (albeit Ugas was a bit older and more inactive).

I think Pacquiao should stay retired.

Ridiculous for Manny to agree on fighting for a world title fight after a long layoff and just being inducted to the HOF. Pac would have absolutely destroyed Barrios in his prime but at this age I don't think he'll be able to pull the trigger. Win or lose I just hope Pac goes in to permanent retirement.

I'm looking forward more for Tszyu vs Fundora rematch. That's a guarantee fire fight.

Actually leaning towards yes... Very unfortunate...

My favorite boxer ever but shoot...

Folks usually raise funds for their political campaigns, but being not so smart with his finances, dude managed to use only his personal funds for his presidential campaign. (Pretty sure he got hustled a LOT from all kinds of slimy people during this little tenture)

Not to mention he has a pastor he is cool with (pastor basically brainwashed him into switching religions from Catholic to born again) that is absolutely milking him and using Pacquiao for his own agenda.

A lot of time has passed since his prime, much less marketable now... which means less advertisement jobs (main source of income)

Dude has multiple homes across the world, vehicles in double digits, lost a whopping 5.1m lawsuit against paradigm ( 5.1m is MASSIVE. If you understand money, you would know how taxes work; 20m for a fight, after UD and PI taxes he is left with LESS THAN 40% of his purse. Not to mention paying his massive team on top of 10% for trainer fees, that 5.1m is legit equivalent to a fight and a half in his prime. Not to mention the legal fees)

Floyd broke AF too, these dudes simply aren't smart with finances. Floyd has a massive gambling problem, no real investments.

At least both of them have a bunch of rapidly depreciating assets that are fully paid for they can sell if need be

Arguably the GOAT, don't wanna see a slaughter. Hope he pulls it off, but Pac has his limits, he's still human (barley)

Imagine if he wins? I have to make him the best ever

This will be sad to watch if Pacquiao gets absolutely leathered by Barrios…..which I think he will. He looked dreadful against Ugas and he looked beyond that when he did that exhibition fight.

He’s a grown man though so can’t really begrudge him doing what he wants to do.

His family and "friends" must be draining his accounts. No reason he should be doing this.

I'm mixed on this. If he needs to get back into the ring because he simply misses it and passes all the physicals then who am I to be critical of someone doing something they love?
If his sole purpose is only for the money I think that is sad and I would not support that.

I respect Pacquiao but why Pacquiao at 46 is better for the WBC than a rematch of Abel Ramos against Barrios currently except for a marketing reason ?
