Which other heavyweights with an 82 inch reach or more could the short armed Ruiz have beaten throughout history if he had been born earlier?

Nope not even close. It was the blob vs the body builder.

I remember at the time everyone was writing Ruiz off except a lot of us Parker fans who knew how good he actually was. Andy Ruiz is such a "what if" these days.

Wisely, Parker respected Ruiz's power and fought the perfect tactical fight in narrowly beating him. Joshua should have paid that fight a bit more attention going into his own fight with Ruiz. Might have saved him a lot of embarrassment.

Goliath had better chin. David literally had to throw a rock at him.

Joshua lost but wins every subsequent fight against Ruiz. Ruiz is too slow with his foot movement.

Thing is, Ruiz is/was a huge talent. It’s not like he was some cab driver. Now, he was a huge LHW/CW talent who couldn’t put the damn fork down so he had to fight at HW, but that doesn’t take away from the actual talent. He got lucky and hurt AJ, and didn’t let up until he’d scored one of the biggest upsets ever.

a prime Ruiz with dietary discipline might be a LHW, more likely a CW, with blazing fast hands, big power for that weight, and a granite chin. He was born with ATG level talent, buffet connoisseur level dietary discipline.

Sorry but the idea of referring to Joshua as Goliath is hilarious.

    6’5”, a lean 250? Kind of seems Goliath-like.

Didn't take the hand of God to strike him down though did it?

a Goliath with a weak chin. But you have to admit, guys that size in that kind of shape look like Goliaths. Dubois is the same.

Parker has a better chin than AJ anyway.

No, Dubois isn`t that big, AJ is bigger than Dubois who is only slightly bigger than Usyk.

Who cares? a lot of fighters can beat AJ and Ruiz, it`s just a nice vid and a big shock that changed the heavyweight landscape.
