    It would only be legal if the ref designated shots on the beltline as legal before the fight. The ref did not, and if he did it wouldn't have been because Usyks trunks were high. Dubois was wearing his trunks further up than Usyk.

    The shot was truly hard to judge whether it was low or not. I can't fault anyone of either opinion.

    Never seen a biblical tsunami of baba tears of this magnitude before which is so unwarranted. So many so threatened by Usyk and his dominance and so desperate to see him lose. And what makes it even worse is when you look at many of the fighters they worship and the fanbases of these fighters too. Proven walking pharmacy lab creation PED cheats, absolute scumbags, awful fanbases, cherrypicking serial duckers you name it but Usyk of all people is the fighter they chose to hate on :facepalm:

    Dubois should've been DQ'd for the near two dozen billy goat butts vs Hrgovic and go watch Dubois vs Lerena if you have such a big issue with corruption because that's how Dubois booked his shot at Usyk. Crickets regarding all that which kind of confirms my whole point

    100% this. The ref should have DQ'd Dubois for pummelling Lerena long after the bell had rung and instead declared him the winner by KO o_O like wtf :eek:

    The bell to end round 1 rang 9 seconds early when Dubois was in desperate trouble and had been down x 3 and then the home ref, Howard Foster, dived in to wave the fight off AT THE BELL when Lerena had been hurt and, as you say, was even cracked hard after the bell

    He waved it off at the bell instead of giving Lerena a chance to return to his corner and recover during the 60 second interval after allowing Dubois to touch down x 3 in round 1 and hobble around the ring on one good leg for the next 2.5 rounds.

    But these people think a 38.5 y/o Usyk fighting a much younger, much fresher and much bigger murderous punching improved Dubois in his backyard on a deck heavily stacked against him doesn't come with enormous risk, be it fair or as with Dubois vs Lerena, foul :facepalm:

    By my books it was a legal blow, borderline but legal. The ref who has shown Usyk bias before for even clearer bodyshots but he called it low and that's that. I don't think Usyk will get in that position again to let Dubious throw that exact bodyshot again. Dubious has to touch Usyk's body with the jab and will have to work for it again, will be interesting to see if Dubious gases out badly again and effectivly falls over.

    AJ landed a clean lovely left hook to Usyk's body and the same ref told AJ to keep them up which is probably more annoying than this one.

    Hopefully Dubious paces himself and finds some opening. no point pressuring Usyk...Dubious just needs to remember he's the young turkey here....Usyk will probably adapt and be smarter but he's not any younger.

    You,re right and nobody said we are dubois fanboys . Maybe it will be a fight both deserve. Our 5 opponent low blow hero vs mighty dubious .
