If we had full color HD footage of some of Sullivans drunken brawls in his prime, I'd be more than interested in seeing a couple of those.

Honestly… Sullivan easily, Greb sounds like his style would be very unfun to watch he’s also just nowhere near the cultural legend of a John L either quite a few guys I’d pick over Greb… the Murderers Row, Bivins, Moore and Charles I’d rather see more film of before them and we’ve already got some ya know? Tunney, Ross, Conn, Armstrong… I really could go on and on Greb’s the GOAT (potentially) but probably in a very “meta” optimised sort of boring way much like Ezzard Charles just with more holding I imagine lol.

    Hi Buddy.
For me it would be Greb all day long, as iconic as John L was, from what we have read he was a strong, tough, brawler type, would you agree? plus the " fights " would resemble a wrestling match to a degree, lots of throwing to the floor, and clinching, once again from what we have accounts of, so if that were the case, you wouldnt have me on board, up against this you have, if we chose the Walker fight, a ATG welterweight in his prime, and for 15 rounds, nor the snippets we have now on YT, up against arguably the P4P king, whilst not in his prime, but still good enough to defeat Walker, it doesn't get any better in my book.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

Yes, but think about all of the posters who would unravel on here when Greb footage came out and he looked as bad as I'm imagining.

Oh dang, hard to choose because I yearn for crafty, rugged fighters and there's two Infront of me.

But because of Greb's rep in this thread,I might end up picking prime Sullivan, saw some pictures of him showing off his technique, and a picture of heavyweight Roberto Duran from USA popped out in my brain.

Greb footage all the day. If he was horrible to watch then so be it. At the moment boxing history is like a wall with a great big hole at the bottom of it. Arguably the GOAT boxer and there's no footage of the man.

Sullivan would be far more entertaining, but boxing history would demand Greb.

Both would be fascinating ... Greb - Walker would be fascinating ... Sullivan's fights of interest were to me all London rules ... Flood, Ryan , Kilrain ... great question.

Greb, b/c his run as champ wasn't ended by a guy in a thong.
