“Floyd struggles with southpaws”. Usyk has lost the same number of fights due to body shots that Floyd lost to southpaws. Coincidence? I think not
I hope Usyk goes into savage mode the second that idiot goes low again and just says **** it and pulls a Golota vs bowe. Just absolutely caves that mouth breathers nuts in. Or just switches to street fighter mode like that one idiot talking **** to him almost made him do I’d settle for a couple of elbows slicing Dubois face up. I would rather Usyk go out like that than to keep playing nice guy while a complete dip**** like Dumbois continues to cheat and fight dirty then claims a GREAT victory after a paid off ref ignores it and stops the fight when Usyk reacts to another low blow. In a fair and within the rules fight, we all know Usyk kills this moron dubois. But… it’s pretty obvious dubois is going to try the low blow **** again because he’s low class.
Yeah, but according to our experts Usyk is exceptionally weak to low blows. Usyk makes Riddick Bowe look like he was wearing a cast iron cup in his Golota fights.
Nobody actually believes Dubious dropped him with a body shot even those who say it know it was low. It really is the only straw they can clutch at to discredit the great man Usyk. Fury whacked him with some hard body shots and didn't hurt him so he is certainly not weak to the body. Fury was able to do damage to Wilder, Whyte and Chisora with body shots but couldn't do the same to Usyk.
Nobody likes body shots. They drain your soul. Inoue really messed Cardenas and forced him to drop his hands with a body shot, same as Kabayel did to Zheng. Body punching is w nasty business.
given how common headhunting it, I always wonder how a guy like Kabayel develops. My head cannon is that early on in his amateur career, he iced a couple guys in a row off body shots and thought “hey, this works”. Or maybe knocked some guys down with body shots during sparring. some fighters use it regularly but strategically — Bam does this — but Kabayel seems to walk into a ring with a vendetta against his opponent’s liver.
Not referring to Usyk specifically, but some guys might take shots to the nuts (or nearby) a lot better than other guys. But the nuts (or nearby) aren’t a legal target area nor are they a legitimate/reasonable measure or reflection of a fighter’s reasonably interpreted resilience. There may well be guys out there who have iron chins whilst carrying glass nuts - I personally can take a good whack to the head but even a grazing blow to or near the nuts has a good chance of seeing me far more hurt.
And I love watching him for it. He doesn't circle the ring staying away from power. He goes to the system core and dismantles it. The fact he stayed in the pocket with Zhang and only went down once was impressive, but the way he broke the big man down and made him quit on his knee was something else.
Yeah, the "Usyk is weak to the body" is a myth. He's been tagged with massive body shots in every fight since Chisora and he's won every one of them. He just doesn't have an iron pubic area, and Dubois sought to exploit that.
