Clearly you’re talking about Johnny Nelson vs Carlos DeLeon.

Surprisingly a mention for Ali being dull.

    Wasn't expecting that.

Howard Davis Jr. Vs Tony Baltazar and Edwin Rasario.
The masterfully skilled Davis couldn't crack an egg with his power.
Yet those two fights demonstrated his toughness and determination.
I always wonder what he could've been with just average punching power.

Yes, I've seen the film many times. I think the version employed footage originally shown as a newsreel in the silent era days since it only shows the first and last (15th) rounds. The first round was exciting because of the knockdowns. My guess is that the last round is representative of the intervening 13 rounds with clever boxing by Loughran and a lot of ineffectual chasing by Lomski.

I bought the Greatest Fights of the Century 16mm version in the early 1980s and used to show it and other fights to the local boxing community at taverns and banquets around the Seattle area, so I've seen it quite often over the years. This was before the spread of VHS videos. Lomski was from Aberdeen, WA which is about 80 miles from Seattle, so there was a lot of interest in this fight around these parts.
