Like many have suggested, poor judgment in putting Fisher straight into a rematch with the very experienced and durable Allen, who is almost a gatekeeper for boxers that want to get into the top 15 rankings. Will be a hard one to get Fisher back into big fights. British level at best.

Hearn making the mistake of thinking because Fisher can KO a few cheap imports and a small HW as limited as JF in Babic it convinces the casuals to buy into him.

Fisher got a gift first fight against Dave Allen, eventually for fighters like Fisher and Babic also the gimmick gets found out quickly against fighters with basic fundamentals.

No shame for the fighter finding their level but Hearn pitching area level fighters as the next Sonny Liston just makes him look daft.

I've seen some complaining about people sticking the boot in on Fisher after his loss, which is fair enough. But in the long having a few people tell him he isn't any good (when he isn't) isn't going to be as bad for him as having key figures around him blowing smoke up his to make him thing he's better than he is just because he sells tickets.

He should count himself lucky he got exposed like this by someone like Dave Allen and not a genuine murderous puncher like Wardley.

Have to mention again the comms last night. Just woeful and not calling what is actually going on in the ring. It's just a joke right now

It’s only about the numbers with them mate. We all knew Fisher was straight up and down would struggle at any level with anyone full time in the paid ranks.

I honestly think most of these promoters think as soon as they sign a boxer who can shift tickets they have the second coming of Ricky Hatton on their hands. They forget that he had had a long amateur career so could actually fight and box.

When you are a promoter building up a new young boxer, patience is the key word.

There have certainly been many examples of talented boxers who have been matched wrongly and had a promising career ruined.

The road back for Fisher is going to be long and hard.

By the way : I was really shocked and surprised by the fight as I had heard from several sources that Dave Allen had not trained properly.

That said, I´m incredibly happy for Dave Allen because life has not always been easy for him.

Yes ticket sellers will always be a promoters dream, often protected and managed carefully.

After the first DA fight, Fisher could of been guided a different route.

Eventually you will find your level the hard way.

Biggest ticket seller London about 10 years ago was Frank Buglioni, came unstuck against Khamitski a middle weight fighting a natural SMW like Buglioni also that was at the Copper Box.

You can only guide them so far before they get chin checked.

Why not be patient with Johnny Fisher and carefully match him to a 20-0 record and then you could quietly start stepping him up ?

Gave up after he turned Joey 12 into Joey 2.

Any athlete in that shape anytime does not maintain my support.

He should have dedicated himself after the Anderson win as he would have at least got a shot at a World Title.

Waste of space and lost interest.

Johnny Fisher is area level and he would still be that in 20 lifetimes never mind 20 fights.

Imagine if prime Wilder landed one on Fisher last night - he would end up in Margate.

Hearn tries to make good match ups with his fighters. He says he wants his fighters in real fights to show how good they are. Problem is, he chooses fighters based on gimmicks. Based on selling tickets. Based on memeability and he doesn't see that yet. If you're going to pick based on Instagram numbers and socials then don't expect them to swim. Expect them to sink in the big fights.

He also still thinks he's some kind of gold dust when it comes to a fighter as well. Let me be clear. He has built zero stars in America despite promoting out there for a good 6/7 years. He thinks he had some gift in being the mouth piece for a fighter and that he did it in the UK and that he will do it for any fighter in America.

Can someone let me know when he has been the mouthpiece for a fighter in the UK and built them to be a star and who has he done the same for in America? He's been promoting American fighters for 6/7 years now I believe. Who has he made a star?

Don't get me wrong. He's made fighters rich. But he hasn't done anything himself. He doesn't have some kind of special ability above all the other promotors like he makes to out. He never had this. He's just like every other promotor. He lords himself over every other promotor looking down them. He's just the same as them.

Hearn is finished. Doing more shows than any other promoter does not mean you're the best promoter and that's what he thinks he is.

You may be right, but I still find it annoying that Matchroom doesn't take better care of him. Fisher can sell tickets and unfortunately there aren't many of them left. Who has the potential to be Matchroom's next ticket seller and star in the U.K. ?

I fear George Liddard will be the next to be exposed.
