People forget just how many very good wins Cotto had at LWW before he even moved up to WW

    LWW
    - Undefeated Maussa who went on to win a world title at the weight
    - Ndou who went on to win a world title at the weight
    - Undefeated Malignaggi who went on to win a world title at the weight
    - Undefeated Torres who went on to win a world title at the weight
    - Branco who was world rated and a European champion
    - Former title holder at the weight Bailey who went on to win WW title
    - Bazan a former LW champ
    - Former title holder at the weight Corley
    - Undefeated puncher Pinto
    - Decorated amateur Abdullaev

Is not even the full of what Cotto achieved at LWW alone before anyone goes on to WW with great wins over names like
    Quintana
    Judah
    Mosely
    Clottey
    Urkal

Then there is LMW and MW

Cotto beat the better fighters, though Crawford accomplished more. It's close in the history books either way.

Cotto takes Spence apart, similar to Crawford. I've never been sold on Spence.

How was Clottey old ? He was 31 years old and was coming off the best win of his career vs Judah he would be considered close to his prime.

Mosley was in his late 30s yes but he was coming off wins over Vargas x2, Collazo, and would go on to destroy Margarito after the loss to Cotto.

The version of Spence who turned up vs Crawford certainly wasn't better than the version of Mosley who fought Cotto.

I think Cotto has better names on his resume but Crawford has better achievements.

Cotto wasn't the best at his weightclass because he shared an era with the likes of Pacquiao, Mayweather.

If Crawford was in the same era as Cotto its very debatable that Crawford would be considered the best either.

Mosley was older yes but still fighting at a very high level and he would be considered the best opponent Crawford has ever fought in regards to the level of opposition and the kind of form Mosley was still in.

And you say Cotto failed when he stepped up but Crawford hasn't stepped up to that kind of level either what 2 ATGs has Crawford fought ?

Cotto wasn't even viewed as 2nd best

Cotto was losing to Austin Trout and Sadam Ali at a similar age to when Crawford was knocking out Sean Porter and Errol Spence

Well he wouldn't be viewed as the 2nd best as i already said he was in the same era as two ATGs Pacquiao, Mayweather. Who are amongst top 15 best fighters of all time Crawford has not even remotely come close to having that kind of opposition.

Cotto had a much tougher career and alot more wear and tear that's why and those losses also took place at 154.

Trout is also good alot felt he beat Canelo and Charlo. And Trout would be one of the more challenging and best opponents Crawford has faced especially at 154 in which Crawford didn't impress at vs Madrimov.

I'm not sure what age you are or when you started watching boxing.
    I don't mean that insultingly.
Many decent boxers didn't get main stream attention years ago even though they were impressive.
If you were watching the divisions back then would recall Urkal was a very good LWW and WW European champion

    A European champion isn't a journeyman

What names do you feel were said for the sake of it as you have already indicated that you weren't aware who the 2 weight European champion was
    So who else?

Shawn Porter had already lost 4 times and an argument could be made that Trout is better than every fighter Crawford faced

Melon Head Miguel fought prime Manny, Floyd, Clenelo, Shane, Margarito, Judah etc. which is a much higher calibre of opposition than Crawford has fought. Granted he lost against many of them

But I'm more interested in the cripple count because both rank high on the Cripple Crushing scale

    Crawford

Spence - car crash landed on his face at 100mph & knocked his teeth out

Porter - double hip replacement surgery

    Brook - double orbital fracture

Benavidez - peg-leg who was shot in the leg

    Melon Head Miguel

Sergio - both knees shot to hell

    Margarito - broken orbital socket

Yuri Forman - torn ACL and meniscus

What really interests me is how Melon Head Miguel's cripples would fair against Crawford's ones in a round robin tournament

I didn't think Trout vs Canelo was really in doubt. Thought Canelo won pretty clearly.

People saying that Cotto would be undefeated if he had fought Crawfords opposition are exhibiting wishful thinking

Cotto may have (may have) been the favorite in each fight vs Crawfords opposition but would most likely not go undefeated.

    Lopez lost to Kambosos
    Taylor lost to Caterall
    Caterall lost to Barboza
    Garcia lost to Romero

    And so on

    The favorite doesn't always win

When it comes to these fantasy resume test they always seem to
