Honestly mate, in the film we have of him, I don't think he's top 10. Or even better than Moore. I suspect at his best he is top 5 though.

Louis for poise, control and just sheer measured movement

SRR just plain Perfect Beautiful Boxing

JJW for pure class, slippery, dangerous trap setting & luring stylist

    Charles TOP Class Basic Boxing

Lloyd Marshall for eye grabbing finesse ghost movement & winning capability, RJJ long before Roy.

Mike Tyson for pure menacing Power, Lethal Pressure, Intimidation, a Speedy Unstoppable Force & Deliberate Boxing

JCC for all-round basic Box/Fighter pressure & surety in execution

Hector Camacho boxing excellence, speed, footwork, deliberation and entertaining

Haugen & Gatti for grit, willingness, capable boxing & fighting - representing a whole history of thousands of great, capable and often unsung Prizefighters

too many really, but to the Thread, I'm going with...

    SRR.

Roberto Duran has it all in terms of his top 10 fights,if he was more consistent and always the underdog/the underpaid he would've thrived better.

Other than that,I think JCC, SRR and Archie Moore came close, then you'll have Pernell Whitaker,Floyd Mayweather and in the end Ezzard Charles,as he wasn't as destructive as his young self.

Impressive stuff and VL was usually the smaller man. That makes his performances even more impressive.

Ezz’s disease started to affect his legs before he went to heavyweight, I agree entirely with you.
