Jake Paul Phony Fights Discussion

Well , regarding to the usyk - jake paul fight i think both fighters really need and deserve this fight since they resume is incredible similar :

- jake paul is 11-1 and usyk 8-0 at heavy
- jake paul outperforms usyk beating a true legend ( mike tyson )
- usyk outperforms paul holding a belt
-both are experienced actors
- both have a social media fanbase
- both navigate carefully to avoid fights they might loose ( e.g kabayel for usyk )

Jake Paul is the product of a sport that consistently priced out its fans with PPV, stopped the big fights being made, and where the "zero" became a business model. It boiled the sport to a niche market, and within those ashes rose absolute dog**** like Jake Paul. He's journeyman level, as he proved in his loss to British area-level Tommy Fury, but will be PR managed to a WBF bridgerweight title at some point and then Netflix or Amazon Prime will turn it into an exclusive movie. The sport of boxing is just as much to blame for Paul as society is.

It was supposed to happen after the first Lamont Roach fight and is now happening in November instead apparently.

 

ridiculous. tank is too small. jake could just stiff arm him and club him all night. paul is not a good fighter, but he isnt completely useless either.

 

Mmmmm there's levels to it IMO. It's like an Amateur Heavy Weight may be bigger than someone like Ennis, Crawford, or Bivol but his skill level is way below those guys so he probably would not win the bout.

 

Meaning the fix is in.

 

If it is a legit fight I don't care about the massive size difference as the levels between them are huge. Tank will eventually time him with a hard clean shot and knock him out. This is not a good big man beats a good little man this is a good little man beats a **** house big man.

 

At 195 too!

 

How the hell is he going to bulk up to 195?

 

I think he will just come in at 150 I doubt he will go much higher than that.

 

I hate to say it but yeah, in a "real" fight, Jake should take out Davis. A 6', ~200 lbs brawler should still be able to take out a 5'5", 140 lbs man even if that man is technically the much better boxer.

This will be another Tyson style decision, where everyone feels dirty after watching it.

 

This would be a very easy watch for me as I don't care about the fate of either fighter; I can sit back, beer in hand, and enjoy the chaos. And no matter the outcome you can say the loser brought it upon themselves; either Paul in fighting an actual boxer, or Davis for pretending weight classes don't exist and trying for a payday against a boxer/youtuber far too big for him. Either way I'm all for it; I just hope both will be begone from boxing afterwards.

 

I just think that if a 45 year old Floyd was able to comfortably out box the much bigger Logan Paul then a 30 year old Tank should be able to outbox Jake Paul.
