    Tbf, one (of the many) reasons cross era fantasy fights shouldn't be taken too seriously, is the difference in weigh in times relative to the fight.

    Crawford was reportedly 169lbs in the ring vs Madrimov. He'd have likely been heavier in the ring for his WW contests than Nino was for his LMW fights.

    What do we think now? I went to see if I’d made this thread, noticed I already had, but it was before the Canelo fight. Maybe that changed some perspectives?

    I'm in the minority I don't buy the hype around that fight, I actually thought it was a close one.. & i dont rate Canelos recent run of form either. Not much we can take from that performance to suggest Crawford runs over a sublime fighter like Benvenuti.. who was sharper, quicker & rangier than Canelo & had better feet too..
