You should watch the whole interview but if you don't have the time I've set it for when he recognizes his dad and all that his family has done for him.

    Love it.

Any way you look at it, most of it is about money right? I'm sure he got a solid payday for that, disappointing ending for him notwithstanding. Best I can seem to find suggests they both got around 700k each. If you didn't have much, that's life changing money. Between this and the first fight, they probably earned around a mil each. For a domestic level fight? That's awesome. (also seems appropriate, think of how much more money many of those guys from that awful weekend that will not be named earned for putting on fights that weren't 25% as good as the two fights Fisher and Allen put on for fans).

Fisher represents what the sport is about, working class background, family-driven, likeable and wants to put on a show for the fans. He's never gonna be a world champion, but the sport needs people like him. Not sure why he gets so much grief.

I've always thought he's a likeable lad. I just don't want to see him get badly hurt. He needs to be matched very carefully now.

I hope his management is as smart as you are concerning his next opponents , and moves forward very slowly as far as competition is concerned. He needs at least 3 low level fights to get his confidence back. I have to say I wish all fighters were as likeable as this guy, I wish him well
