I’m a fan of Josh Taylor, loved his run to undisputed and during that period he was unbelievable - I don’t think he’s got the true credit he deserves. Covid halted his momentum, the bad foot injury etc.

Gutted to say it but the right man won tonight, in a great close fight. Taylor looked super sharp in the first half of the fight but Ekow came on so strong, super fit as we know and deserved the victory.

Taylor still has the speed and the superb shot selection but he did start to lose his shape and the defence wasn’t tight enough, particularly to the right hand. He’s not the fighter he was.

 

How bad is McNally? His corner instructions were a joke, he couldn’t see what was going on and don’t get me started on telling Taylor that Essuman needed the last 2 rounds.
