Maybe Taylor can have one final big payday fight against Ryan Garcia before retirement?

Which he'll probably get KO'd in. Ryan's clearly still dealing with his mental problems, which can be sorted out... Taylor is shot, which can't.

I think that payday was contingent on at least winning his 1st fight at 147...

Tbf, Taylor did show in his fights with Postol and Baranchyk that he is more than capable of fighting on the outside. You are correct though, he did seem to get comfortable with being the bigger and stronger guy in all of his fights and never really cared to adjust his style for anything above 140.

Maybe so.. but the pre-fight trash talk would at least be entertaining to see.

Agreed that staying at 140 was a horrible move.

He should have gone straight from the Ramirez win to fighting Bud. He would have gotten smashed, of course, but that it wouldn't have hurt his standing.

Getting flogged twice by Jack forever ruined how people view him.

Lol Ryan would obliterate Taylor. He has nothing in his gloved like Romero does so he (Garcia,) won't be enticed to quit. However as a lefty Taylor does take away Ryan's best wrapon...his left hook.

Taylor can't avoid a left hook to save his life.

Ryan would beat Josh him at this stage.

However, the Taylor of 4 years would smash Ryan.

I'd disagree. While he used movement in those fights that's not the same as being able to fight on the back foot or at long range. He simply interspersed moments on the outside between periods when he'd step in and attacked at his preferred range when at mid and close range. He didn't keep guys at long range and score effectively from that range, he always had too give up that range to be offensively effective which is why he eventually started to use less movement because while he could keep opponents at a distance with movement he couldn't mount any real offense at that range.
