Undersized guy who beat the majorly regarded heavyweight GOAT and probably has the most amount of heart in the history of the division, also a great chin

Norton was skilled too but chinny i agree

For me, young Foreman loses to Evander and Bowe but might beat Lewis. Once. Lewis beats him in any rematch and every time tjereafter. He has entertaining fights with Mercer and Morrison, sparking Tommy after a few shaky moments and sharing a win each with Mercer. He cracks Bruno and has an exciting couple of fights with Mike. Early 90s Mike beats him, maybe, oh maybe...im not sure, but, he beats late 90s Mike. He and early 90s Ruddock have a war and I'm not sure who wins...oh, and early 90s Foreman bears young Foreman!!

    ....styles make fights...

Any analysis involving more than 2 sentences and adult vocabulary would have you all at sea Wee Man. Been shot out of any cannons lately?

Foreman was actually starting to come along very well in his post Ali career and then he took a terrible fight style wise and in the worst climate ... never understood why he fought Young in a steamy PR ... he had to know what he was getting into as Lyle had just diced up Lyle and Foreman was ringside doing the commentary ... all that said he was not going to dominate the 90's guys who were so much bigger and stronger w his title reign form ... if he kept on developing (he looked sensational in Frazier 2) who knows ?

Let’s do try a break down the way you guys understand it in that video game stat sheet manner otherwise you end up chasing your tail trying to understand actual boxing.

    Chin: Holyfield (modern hydration bonus)

Hand speed: Holyfield (By a lot)

Strength: Holyfield (A lot of PED’s and I mean look at the guy lol)

Counter punching: Holyfield by a long shot

    Combinations: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Head movement: Holyfield (which says something)

Inside fighting (Not the guy who lost there to Ali of all people lol)

Heart: Holyfield (Christian warrior who didn’t see the devil in the locker room)

Weight: George Foreman (9.5lbs but he was a lot chubbier)

Smarts & Skills: Holyfield by far, widely complimented by other boxers for those things.

    Versatility: The Real Deal Holyfield

Resume: Norton, Frazier, Lyle, Peralta vs Tyson, Dokes, Occasio, Qawi, Tillman, De Leon, Pinklon, Stewart, Douglas, Old Holmes, Cooper, Moorer, Old Foreman, Bowe, Mercer, Czyz, Ruiz, Nielsen, Botha and Rahman… draw?

Footwork: Mr Holyfield - but he could never corner Ali the way Foreman did on the ropes… he’d at least look competitive.

    Stamina: Come on?

So we learnt nothing new here, 70s Foreman is a dehydrated, softer built HW with no stamina who punches really hard (I’d expect you to if you throw punches that wide) if you let him hit you while he’s operating within his one way of fighting at mid range… he would be entirely outclassed in every department by “The Real Deal”

So, that’s your objective, boxing aficionado analysis, Wee Man?

It’s painfully obvious that someone has been playing too many, make believe, video games. :risas3:

    Troll, troll, troll your boat…..

So you can’t nor have you ever entertained prime Foreman beating Evander?

Riddick Bowe, Ray Mercer, Rockman Rahman, Tony Tucker, Razor Ruddock, Old Holmes, Oliver McCall, Chris Byrd, David Tua, Vitali Klitschko and Ike Ibeabuchi

Of course Foreman is not unbeatable and could eventually lose to some of those guys mentioned.

However, I honestly dont see any one who is a match to young Foreman.

Only prime Holmes, prime Holy and prime Tyson, and maybe Lennox could be considered superior threats. Everybody else is a big "maybe".

Based on Lyle and Young the only other contenders he fought? There is good reason to believe he losses quite a few bouts - especially if he ages and starts “cracking” … per the OP he fights Holyfield for the title straight away so when he losses that bout how’s he handle that loss? OP said it’s fine if he fights Tyson in 91 so it’s probably 2 potential back to back losses right? as far as I can tell GF is forced to contend and fight for 10 years? What happens when Lennox shows up and he can’t handle the heat anymore by 96? Byrd is around the corner too, Tua, Vitali etc he fizzles if he fights the iron of the division fast, hence he doesn’t dominate he is a Riddick Bowe level guy IMO in the 90s couple good bouts, might split a series with Bowe himself actually and lose / beat a couple contenders and wind up an opponent type by 96-97?

But the Foreman who lost to Young and struggled with Lyle was damaged goods and already on his way out.

Of course that subpar Foreman would be very vulnerable, but not everybody is going to be as lucky as Young to face the worst version of Foreman.

The killer Foreman who demolished Frazier and gave Ali all he could handle would wipe out the whole 90s gallery of pretenders. Only true and proven ATG like Tyson, Holmes or Holy would be a serious threat for 70s Foreman.

Bottom paragraph (Nah) top one, that’s the point the op @Fergy I think wants us to figure / discuss how GF does factoring in a hypothetical 90s career not just one off H2H fights - I’m not sure entirely though but I think I’ve got the right of it?

I feel no one should doubt he'd be the best HW. He basically proved the biggest speculated weaknesses people thought he had in the 70s never existed. If Foreman was trying to drown prime Holyfield and Moorer in deep waters when he was in his 40s they'd have no shot when he was in his 20s and was going for quick knockouts. Lennox is not surviving Foreman. Bowe probably has the best chance but theres really no reason to think he'd beat Foreman.

Jimmy Young narrowly outpointed Foreman and Jimmy Young was a defensive master who managed to avoid being knocked down by the skin of his teeth. The Ali win isn't really replicable but Ali is also super durable.

Just really putting him in there, as a young kid coming along, alongside Holyfield, Lewis , Bowe etc.
Obviously there's no old guy knocking out Moorer in 94 lol
Can t imagine Moorer lasting two mins with young George!
