The unofficial title of Foreman-Cooney: Two Geezers at Caesars, haha.

Not a title, but one of our better club show main events we held for a regional belt and we knew ahead of time we were going to do it as the main event so the show before we got the opponent to cut some video for commercials that ran on local cable.

He looked right in the camera and said: “We gonna get it on, ‘cause we don’t get along.”

    That sold it.

Classic answers but 'Rumble in the Jungle' and 'Thrilla in Manila' are so iconic.

Affair in Zaire was right up there.

There was a report that the Ali-Holmes fight (that sadly never should have happened) was going to be in Cairo, Egypt, but that fell out for some reason.

I wonder what Ali would have nicknamed that one.

I always liked "the War on the Shore" (Spinks-Cooney).

Ali-Frazier II was simply dubbed ‘Superfight’

I also liked the Danny Lopez v Tury Pineda ‘Battle of the Teeny-Boppers’ as they were both 19 at the time.

Also, ‘The St. Valentine Day Massacre’ had that special ring to it.

You don't have to wonder anymore.
Holmes vs. Ali was billed as "The last Hurrah", so it would have fitted every other city.

    wasn't mentioned yet.

There was the double-header - The soul brothers v the Quarry brothers

One of the Mancini-Bramble fights was called Preamble to Bramble

and for the life of me I can’t remember what fight was called ‘The brawl for it all’ if someone can help me out here. Clearly a unification bout

You beat me to it! Two Geezers at Caesars was the best

So, I'll go with Homer Simpson vs. Drederick Tatum... The Bout To Knock The Other Guy Out

Which card was labelled The Bore By the Shore?

I believe that was actually Bramble-Rosario? The idea was that Bramble & Camacho had separate fights on the same card, & each fighter's expected win would set up a unification w/ each other. When Rosario unexpectedly won, Larry Merchant said, "the preamble to Bramble has become the scenario for Rosario."

What was Foreman-Holmes going to be billed as? They were signed to fight in '99 but the money fell through. They could've had real fun with the billing of that one. Bonus points if they'd got it sponsored by Geritol, Centrum Silver, and the AARP.
