I’d call it a day and end on a high. He’s not gonna find another opponent who’s as bad yet high profile as Fisher. Do some punditry, a bit of managing, whatever.
It's not a bad shout, is it? Fisher has a profile for some reason, but Dave lost the fight (haven't watched people saying he won), it increases the profile of the 2nd, and he gets a brutal stoppage, and all of a sudden he's gone from being a washout to a name again., How good is he really? hard to tell The thing is with Allen, he does have a few decent performances, folded Web, stopped once-beaten Lucas Browne, and now Bosh Jr. He's got a decent chin and carries some pop, always remember Darren Barker saying if he didn't win a title it would be a waste if he can focus for a year or so, there's a potential for some big fights. Try for the British or get fed to someone like Joy Joyce who's faded to sin but Allen might get some $$$ from it.
It is difficult to match him as he's obviously too experienced for Adeleye or TKV but not good enough for Chisora/Wilder. I'd say put him in against Wardley/Clarke. See how he gets on. I can definitely see him holding his own. In the right shape, he might pull off an upset. It'll be a close fight for me.
After listening to him tonight I'd say he'd make a great co-commentator. Above all he doesn't take himself too seriously.
I’ll take Allen over Price right now. Also, Allen should have won the first fight with Johnny and the second fight was playing out just like the first, Allen letting Johnny win early but wore him down late, only this time he finished the job.
He'd have to start actually paying attention to the fights he's calling which he couldn't manage last night (don't blame him much when it comes to Sharp-Hughes mind)
He said he wasn't getting paid. I wonder if they wanted a word with him and he was so much more interesting than the 'fight' that they kept going back to him.
The 3rd round was absolute brutality from Allen in that fight. No HW in history was standing up to the punishment Dorian Darch copped that night.
