I don't think this fight happens, because it won't make anything close to a repeat of the Eubank nonsense.

Nevertheless, Taylor is done and needs to stop, so does Benn for that matter.

I liked Taylor as a boxer if not as a character (seen too many like him in Scotland, angry wee man etc) - but he just seems lost in his career now. To say after a fight in May, "need to stay active, maybe get out early next year" kind of summed him up - he should be fighting 3 times a year at the new weight to get himself back in. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he had one last change of trainer too.

Taylor needs to eat Anthony Joshua Pie and go back to the trainer that got him to the top.

I think so. In hindsight McCracken did some job with Joshua, building him up in variety over the years given the lad's limits. He did as well with Usyk as Fury did over two fights, if that's any comparison.

The Joshua that last to DDD was the same Joshua that last to Ruiz - five years ago he could have got through DDD with a defensive bore-fest but he's gone backwards since McCracken.

To be fair, I don't disagree generally, but McCracken presided over Usyk-AJ I only - which was a dreadful performance from Joshua, he was thoroughly outclassed. He wasn't around for the second fight (Garcia IIRC), which was better.

Hard to put that at McCrakens door imo. Joshua had brought other coaches in which surley was detrimental.

Usyk simply has the number of both Joshua and Fury.

Not sure there is any more either could do physically or tactically when facing this ATG elite fighter over 12 rounds.

The only way I see him losing to any of the current crop is someone launching the kitchen sink in a 3 round blast out.

No that's absolutely fair - I just don't think there's a version of Joshua that beats Usyk, and maybe McCracken just tried to cause the least confusion in style to get through it and hope for a KO. But you're 100% right on the second fight being a more confident performance.

All this division is silly though. Basically the same people, culturally and genetically.

Put a Scotsman and a Englishman in the middle of Somalia, they are sticking together.

From what Taylor and Frampton have to say about the McGuigan's, I feel Taylor would rather train himself than go back. A shame as Taylor has never looked the same after leaving Shane, but that bridge is burnt to smithereens. The next best thing would be for Taylor to retire, but I don't see that happening either. Taylor will most likely go out on his back and in indignity.

England football fans are definitely sensitive. Reminds me of Anthony Joshua fans.

Maybe in Somalia but I know Brits living abroad in slightly more developed countries than Somalia and they avoid other Brits like the plague.

You must have your head screwed on. Holidaymakers seem to enjoy mingling with other Brits but the people I know abroad, living there through work, seem to avoid Brits entirely. There are obviously a lot of decent Brits working abroad, but there seems to be some sort of stigma that some just want to avoid them on the basis of that. A bit unreasonable. I take people as they come. I wouldn't gravitate toward a Brit just because he's a Brit and vice versa. The last time I was on a Jet2 flight it was embarrassing. Middle-aged men going on a golfing holiday. In fact, they were probably more than middle-aged. Charging up and down the plane with like celebrities on a red carpet, boozed up, loud, giving the staff a hard time, with endless queues at the toilets.
