No one will believe me and it's fair, but I picked Ruiz Jr to win.

That great ESB poster Stonehands did a crackin' preview of this- and got it spot on.

Holyfield-Toney. The result still shocks me to this day.

Holyfield Tyson. I couldn't believe it when I heard the result as I didn't watch it because I was too busy in Ireland watching Stevie smash Nigel Benn

Having been a fan since the 1970s ... there are too many to mention.

    I picked:
    * Earnie Shavers over Larry Holmes (twice)
    * Leon Spinks over Gerrie Coetzee (never heard of Gerrie before that)
    * Wilfredo Gomez over Salvador Sanchez (the result blew me away - boxer outslugs the slugger)
    * Gerry Cooney over Larry Holmes (I was working at a busy restaurant that night and someone said they heard on the radio that Cooney went down in the second ... and I thought they got the name wrong and Holmes had gone down)
    * Ray Mancini over Livingstone Bramble in fight 1 (watched it with friends live and was at a loss)
    * Gerry Cooney over Michael Spinks
    * I was so sure Tyson would knock out Douglas I didn't even watch the fight (I didn't find out until I saw the newspaper the next day)
    * Tommy Morrison over Ray Mercer (very confident in that pick)
    * Ray Mercer over Larry Holmes (when Holmes felt so in control he started talking to the camera during the fight, I couldn't believe what I was seeing)
    * George Foreman over Morrison (couldn't see a way Tommy would ever win that)
    * Deontay Wilder KO1 Tyson Fury in their rematch (to that point, Wilder had always scored a KO in rematches)
    * Anthony Joshua over Oleksandr Usyk in fight 1 (figured Joshua would focus on the body, he didn't)
    * Tyson Fury over Oleksandr Usyk in fight 1 (figured Fury would focus on the body, he didn't)

Those are some that stand out. Gotta love boxing. ;)

I'll raise my hand with you on this one, I didn't care that Holy was 40 I said there's no way a fat middleweight beats him.

Far too many to name but one that really sticks out in my mind was Judah-Tyszu. I thought Zabs speed and elusiveness would be too much for Kostya to handle, boy was I wrong. I also thought Tyszu would knock out Hatton too! :ohno

Great callout on Foreman - Morrison. I remember the poster for that fight with the word “styles” as the promo…lots of predictions for both fighters and all by KO…I don’t think anyone called it as Morrison winning on points, much less by boxing on the move behind the jab with zero knockdowns scored by either man.

LR Lopez over Sal Sanchez. The first bout, of course. Sure did not like those Lopez chances in the rematch. that and appreciating Sanchez more.

Qawi over Mike Spinks. Thought Dwight would be getting under everything and closing that gap. Never happened.

Mancicni over Bramble. first fight only. Had watched Brramble do really well on those espn bouts. Just thought it was too big of a step & Mancini was being considered for some big moneymaking fights. So thought this was more of a staying busy type title defense. 2 rounds in it sure didn't look that way, did it?

Was sure Joe Joyce would beat Zhang. Both times. And go on to become one of the big names in the division. Thought Benn would beat Watson, and Eubank. Had big Frank over Lennox and was sure Frank would stop Tyson in their second fight; still believe he SHOULD have one that fight and had he not been in that awful place with his ever growing personal demons he would have. Thought Wlad would KO AJ...and quickly! Thought Naz would beat Barrera.

But...I've picked some good ones over the years too!!

In your favor Joyce was a huge favorite in the first i believe, and Zhang was a small fave in the return.
