I don't see Johnny fisher retiring, he knows he's no world beater but can make a good living for himself in fun fights at the right level, he's a big ticket seller with a fun style, might not do well internationally but there's always a big market for that in the UK, we love em
Doesn't bother me none, I'll still tune in to watch him cos I know I'm in for a good scrap, domestic British dustups are usually fun and entertaining and that's what I ultimately care about! One of the best fights I've ever seen was Travis Dickinson v Matty Clarkson, a 4 round shootout between two very low level guys, like regional title level, equally matched in skill and determination, none of them would have a chance of a major title and you can't even find the fight on YouTube, but nonetheless it was magic/brutal to watch, give me that over a Shakur snoozefest any day of the week
agreed. He has zero reason to retire. He’s become a bit of a unicorn — a domestic level fighter who can actually sell tickets. He’ll stick to his own level of fighter, make some more money. as to what happened with Allen, eh, Allen is more of an underachiever than a purely domestic level fighter. Issue for Fisher was that Allen stopped underachieving when they fought both times.
The site? Probably US Posters? All over the world WORLD boxing forum And I believe OP is a Frenchman, in which case it's more likely he's not going to be so invested in the Anglosphere
Surprising cause most people in Europe don't give a flying **** about divisions like minimumweight and light flyweight cause there's virtually almost no European fighters that small.
I thought I remember reading years ago that this was a British-based site but I could be misremembering.
No way is Plant retiring, his ego won´t allow it. Plus I bet he still wants to fatten his wallet a bit more, before calling it quits.
