    Scheduled 10 round fight for the WBO Global middleweight belt. Looks like he’s trying to position himself to get back into the rankings pretty quickly. The last person to win this belt is currently ranked 28th in the world.

    I just remember him for derailing Antoine Douglas’ career (which was kind of sad, as he was a pretty likable kid)

    Got out early.

    I am amazed that he wasn´t deported, altho he did get out under Biden´s presidency.
    There are two scenarios I can come up with:
    1. He has a temporary order that allows him to stay in the U.S., which will eventually come up for review.
    2. He snitched on someone and gets to stay in the U.S. for it.

    Trump is probably going to deport him.

    I doubt his boxing career would be taken into account, if he does end up in an immigration hearing. I am assuming that Khurtsidze is eventually going to be called to a hearing, and he will then simply be deported.
    Hes just easy pickings for ICE. Shows up in court, gets denied, immediately put on a bus. ICE does it daily right now.

    Why would he get deported now if he’s out of jail? Also how do you know he doesn’t have American citizenship now?

    He doesn´t have citizenship, at least he did not have one when he was released back in 2023.
    If he is in the country on O-1 visa for special athletes, then that will eventually need to be re-viewed. Which means that he is easy pickings for ICE.

    He could have gotten a green card, but I would be shocked if he did so. Maybe he got married?

    Glad he’s still chasing his dreams

    He had a good shot to beat BJS but blew it

    He took a fight against a no hoper last year and looked like he normally does but didn’t fight again, until this fight coming up. i’m assuming since it’s for a WBO trinket, he’s trying to get back to the rankings as quick as possible with the least amount of fights possible. Maybe he wants to avoid wear and tear?

    Will be interesting to see if it’s a big step up from his last opponent. I imagine it will be a relatively big jump in comparison.
