RJJ avoided Lennox Lewis. Does that mean he avoids Primo Carnera or Jess Willard?

Jones didn't want to fight Lennox Lewis and opted instead for Ruiz. Does that mean he wouldn't fight Primo Carnera or Jess Willard?

Why would that mean that? What's the reasoning here?

I don’t think he really avoided any specific heavyweight . He moved up for one fight. Got a belt. And decided not to push his luck. That to me is not really the same as ducking. Anyway, it’s likely that he would stay away from Willard an Carnera because he said himself he wasn’t comfortable fighting guys with that much size over him.

Willard and Carnera are the same size as Lennox Lewis and were both undisputed heavyweight champions

Willard and Carnera actually reminded me more of the K2 brothers

People be laughing at Willard and Carnera but remember, they were undisputed heavyweight champions of the world. Can't get much better than that.

Lennox Lewis was just a a warmed over Primo. Just like Mike was a wannabe Tony Galento.

Carnera or especially Willard would destroy Jones in short order. Jones chose Ruiz because he was an easy fight and a way to get a heavyweight belt nothing more or less. Jones is too chinny to be against any real heavyweights.

    This.
It's a bit of a weird question really. I don't think he 'avoided ' Lewis.... He wanted to make history by winning a HW belt and picked a guy he felt he could do it against, in a one off fight.
If you're claiming RJJ was THE HW champion then you're obviously wrong. But, as I've said before, it's seems fashionable to rubbish the win in some quarters. There's no 'easy win' when dealing with natural size differences of that nature. If middleweights winning HW straps was that easy, more of them would be doing it.
