Anywhere from 3-10 is fine by me.

Do you take points away for the much smaller heavyweights in Marciano's time?

He wasn't that good. Good enough to be Top 20 but not any better than that. Hot take!

Top 10. Mental part is half the game. Mentally, he stands next to Ali and Johnson.

Above Mike Tyson and Tyson Fury, who embarrassed the sport with Joshua, of all people, left to clean up the unsightly mess.

If we aren’t playing “H2H thunder dome” he was a great HW at 3-10 probably. H2H? A man that big can usually only fight so high id give him a shot at Frazier, Liston, Patterson, Ellis and Quarry… those smaller, overweight sort of guys but the big ones like Lewis? That’s crazy talk.

Well they were real HWs in his time  you’d be lucky to have him at 175lbs today he’d be raising hell I tells ya mister! :boxing1David Benivadez would be a punching bag.

    No it isn't.

If we go with resume, then there are men who have got him beat, even if they lost at some point.

If we go on head to head, then OK he never lost, but he is a 190lb swarmer.

He is a champion who absolutely deserves respect.

He is the only heavyweight champion who retired unbeaten, he dominated a definable era, and he was scrupulous in defending his title against the most qualified challengers.

However he is not number 1.
