The way Hearn thinks, he'll want to try to send other HW's in to fight Dubious on the chance they can weaken him for AJ later, just like he used to do with Whyte.[/QUOTE]

Just like Hearn made sure that Beterbiev fought every one of his mandatory’s when they were due, whilst delaying the Undisputed fight as long as possible. Where as Bivol his star fighter has made only one mandatory defence in the same time (over 7 year iirc) I honestly hope that should Fury beat Usyk in the rematch he either has a trilogy with Usyk or goes for all the marbles in a fight with Dubois. Hearn/Joshua should not be allowed to make opponents sign up for one way rematches if they are then going to back out of it leaving the opponents career on hold until they decide what there going to do next .

I don't mean to embarrass you but it is pronounced dew-boy-ice.

Its been stated several times after the fight. Even Hearn has admitted it.

Its an old link you have there. Its since been clarified that its not a rematch clause AJ has , but an option for one more fight with the saudies...

He got a taste of Dubois and wants no more. Only 2 scenarios left: another run of trashing some tomato cans hoping to grab a belt a long the way, or cash in trough the short route.

Yeah, I think I saw a video headline somewhere along those lines also.

Hopefully opens the door for Parker or Zhang.

joshua was getting beat up at all ranges, he couldn't outbrawl Dubois or outjab him from a distance. joshua was simply outclassed. As overrated as aj is i give Dubois plenty of credit for wiping out a prime aj who looked brand new against Wallin and Ngannou

Dude, he is 35 years old and got knocked the **** out in his last fight. A February date would have been slightly over 4 months since that brutal KO loss. So yes, it was too soon.

When Ruiz beat the crap out of him, he took the rematch 6 months after. Even back then it was ill advised to do so, as boxers actually need time to recover from such steep damage.

Concussed the moment he is touched. I think Joshua could clip Dubois and is the better boxer, but age and chin just doesn't help him.

Yeah but it was obvious all he had to do was run away from Ruiz for 12 rounds. Did Ruiz even attempt a punch? I don't remember it.

Um, I am pretty sure that wasn´t the case at all back then. Back then most thought that Joshua has **** stamina, and he could not be on his bike for 12 rounds. And mind you, this was Ruiz with short notice - with a full camp he was supposed to be even better. Hell, there were even threads here where people said that the bigger Ruiz is, the less of a chance Joshua has . All Ruiz had to do was land one punch and all that nonsense.
He did, and he actually landed a few good ones. But Joshua never allowed him to build momentum, not to mention that Ruiz was grossly out of shape.

He took a lot of heavy shots from a massive puncher and was brutally KO'd. He hasn't even fought since and another loss would be beyond devastating for his career. I believe he'll rematch Dubois again in his next few fights. He's rematched both the other two guys who beat him in Usyk and Fat Andy
