When I saw that sparring video I said he had to go on the Suspect Mandible List.
Tonight, he graduated to the confirmed Glass Jaw List!!!!

I remember Lerena nearly KO'ing Huni with single left hook.

The problem is he also doesn’t have power. Some of the shots he set up were KO shots he just lacks the physical attributes for heavyweight

His lack of power is more of a concern than his chin.

Not sure if it's glass, he did walk into a big punch from a noted puncher, but it's definitely not good. Any big puncher that catches him will likely have him in serious trouble.

Problem he has, is he always has to come forward to be effective and walking into shots is always going to be an issue for him, especially against fighters who are willing to trade and throw when he throws.

Yeah, if he had more power he might have taken Wardley out before he got taken out. He will always have to fight a close to perfect fight against any puncher or risk again having victory ripped out of his hands. Lack of power with a chin that can't be relied on to take a lot of punishment with a style where he has to come forward, not really a good combination. If he's to make it to the next level, he's going to have to find a solution and change something.

It's because his chin is so big. You could do ski jumping off that chin.

Thats right, it was a quick picture perfect shot with excellent timing, any fighter would've went down on that shot
A glass jaw fighter would'nt have gone so late in a fight with a puncher like fabio

It's funny how 9 rounds into the fight (less than two hours ago) he was a revelation of boxing skill, speed and defense... and now he is just an immensely flawed fighter with no chance of reclamation.

I wouldn’t call Huni immensely flawed. I also wouldn’t say he had a glass chin.

I do think his talent is obvious but the problem is that he has to go deep against everyone because he doesn’t have legitimate KO power at the elite level. Unfortunately this means he is greatly exposed to inferior fighters with more heat catching him at some point. With a bit more power he would have taken Wardley out in 5 or 6 rounds. The class difference was significant. But he couldn’t so Wardley always retained that puncher’s chance. And we all saw what happened.

Huni is a huge talent but unless he finds a way to shorten some of these fights the risk of him winning lots of rounds but losing by KO rises exponentially.

I think the opposite - look at usyk, without a chin he wouldn’t have come this far. Hard to make it at heavyweight without a chin. You can still win without power if you have skills but without a chin, always in danger of been flattened regardless of how many rounds you win. Any good boxer with a chin beats Wardley and makes it look easy
