I wish Dempsey' could have gotten the win over Tunney,in the battle of the long count... then retired!
If Duran beats Benitez/Hagler Thinking again,if he won against Leonard twice,it would make him even lazier later on, considering he has an arguable top 20 p4p fighter's number twice in his resume. But if he won against Benitez or Hagler, then his multiple title winning competition will be way deeper, and many would doubt him less because he steamrolled a prime Benitez/outboxed a prime, hungry Hagler.
McCallum getting the nod over Kalambay in Italy and facing Hearns instead of Barkley facing Hearns. It would’ve been the best fight ever.
Tyson managing to knock out Buster Douglas in round 8 that would have changed a lot in his career. We would most likely have gotten a young unbeaten Tyson against Holyfield much sooner. Perhaps even a potential fight between Tyson against Bowe.
A few I wish happened are Conn over Louis Jersey Joe over Marciano Castillo over Mayweather Taylor over Chavez
Andrew Golota scoring 1 punch knock-out of Lennox Lewis. Even if He'd suffer the same fate as Rahman in the rematch, it would make his status even more legendary than it already is (And for a better reason....)
I wish Yabuki won the rematch against Kenshiro It would be nice if Mayweather took a loss early in his career, not because I hate him or anything but because it would be interesting to see how he would manage his career with no 0 to protect. Imagine a timeline where he beats a prime Pacquiao, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez and maybe even a win over GGG and there's also just one weird loss against Augustus that he later avenged. That would be cool. Saad beats Qawi in the rematch and then retires.
Kalambay beat McCallum pretty clearly when they fought in Italy. I would have liked to have seen Hearns against Kalambay while they were both title holders at the time, especially since Kalambay had already beaten Barkley. One things for certain I don't think Kalambay had the power to KO Hearns the way Barkley did. Hearns against McCallum would have been great though. Also Michael Nunn against Hearns or McCallum.
It would have been interesting to see how boxing history would look had Joe Frazier's corner allowed him to continue on in Thrilla in Manila. Although Frazier was badly damaged he was still ready to keep going while Ali was already dead tired. Who knows what could have happened had it went on but part of me feels like Frazier had a shot to turn things around in his favor and perhaps won. If Frazier had won in Manila and scored 2-1 in his rivalry against Ali his ATG status and legacy would definitely be looked at in much higher regards and perhaps Ali's reputation would be slightly affected but still considered great.
