Just curious is all, just want to see how we all look at AJ around these parts.

Solid conventional boxer - 6ft5 and 250lbs of Olympian and an 82 inch reach with good fundamentals and a great punch.

This is a combination of size, skills, reach and power Muhammad has never seen and he’s a little long in the tooth… how’s it go?

if not for a pesky Mr Deontay Wilder / politics he’d have been “undisputed” Ali doesn’t have the style or pop to undo him Ruiz style…

Let’s hear it does AJ do worse then Ron Lyle in there bout? Does he “no mas” against old timer grit? It’s an interesting bout IMO.

AJ's A-side British advantages counter Ali's love affair with the judges, making this a fair fight. Under those conditions, Joshua beats Early Parkinsons Ali over 12.

There are plenty of reasons to dislike or possibly even despise AJ. He is unworthy of hate.

I think Ali was running on fumes in the later 70s, and got over the finish line by sheer force of will.

AJ got about as far in the modern era as Norton got in the 70s. And even 70s Norton was good enough to beat this version of Ali. Later 70s Ali is also the kind of opponent AJ thrived on: an older, smaller fighter without a big punch or aggression. Even prime Ali might find AJ a bit difficult, judging from the Usyk fights. This version of Ali is less mobile, suffering from the early stages of Parkinsons, physically dissipated, and slower.

As long as Ali isn't going to get points for letting AJ hit him, the Bodybuilder wins.

I think AJ was overall better than Lyle. Lyle was probably more durable. But yeah, I think he does better against that Ali.

Ali beats the brakes off this clown, and stops him guaranteed.

At the time he didn’t beat the brakes off Lyle, Wepner or Young he was fading fast after Super Fight 2.

I think so too, first it’d be a type of strength he hasn’t really felt - Ali wouldn’t be able to control the clinch like he did with Foreman (probably his strongest opponent?) he’d be shrugged off pretty quickly by a guy who has 30lbs of muscle on the old sport, he’d be forced into resuming the action. it wasn’t a time in Ali’s life where he needed to be pushed and frequently hit hard Joshua also has about 3 inches of vertical on him and an 82 inch reach… Ali’s had about 79 inches himself so the jabbing would be uncomfortable, Ali really didn’t like when people pecked at or with him. Joshua wasn’t a bad boxer, good even but physically he’d also just be too much at this point, he’d just need to stay steady, pop off in bursts and not get into a boxing match too often, get Ali to shell up or get “non combative” stay in range the whole time and “pop” “pop” get in and win as many early rounds as he could before we get to 10-12 … however even then Ali wasn’t a busy guy who hovered in range like Usyk to tire him out IDK if Ali wins he’s cutting it razor thin.

I think AJ would be freaked out fighting Ali in the first place.
His confidence wouldn't be that great and he loses a wide decision.

Let’s let AJ have the benefit of the doubt if he came to fight how’s he do?

aj is vulnerable to the right hand, he doesnt see it coming. he stands very stiff and upright and also has a glass chin. ali stopped ron lyle with a flurry of right hands and left hooks, he would be able to do that to aj and get him out of there

AJ got up from Wlad’y I don’t think Ali would stop him with one unless he’s dead tired.
