Is Manny the winner here? Even though he didn't necessarily score tons of stoppages at higher weights (though he did score some nonetheless), it seemed like he carried his power so well that even guys who survived vs him were stunned multiple times.

    Hearns is up there too.

Bob Fitzsimmons deserves to be mentioned. A Lineal Middleweight Champion who knocked out the Lineal Heavyweight Champion with a body punch.

Sam Langford, if he’d fought modern day?

otherwise the actual answer is Pac. Has to be.

Fitzsimmons because he was powerful enough to take out superheavys as a WW. He didn't even have to become a HW to get the power.

Stribling was a Featherweight, Heavyweight champ so I guess thats got to count for something(the Featherweight title was regional and the WBA retconned his HW belt). Stribling wasn't really a power guy but he knocked out Van Porat and Phil Scott easily back to back. If we added tweeners thats 11 weight classes there.

Georges Carpentier started at flyweight, fighting for his first regional title at bantam, and went all the way to heavy knocking out dudes the whole route.

I'm going of the beaten path with Guillermo Jones. He started at 147 and went all the way up to 200 pounds winning a cruiserweight title and having ko wins over tough dudes like Kelven Davis, Wayne Braitwraite, Friat Aslan, Valery Brudov and Denis Lebedev (changed to no contest). He had a very interesting and unique career. A good fighter that is rarely talked about.

I think Pac's power effect began to diminish at some point was struggling to stop guys after 09.......

Perhaps it was more due to the fact he didn't have the same athletic ability to land the same shot and obviously facing larger opponents.

AND he may very well be the greatest boxer who never held a Lineal Championship.

And my late Grandfather met him once, when Sam was older. My Grandfather told me directly: "I was humble, Shay, in the presence of a GIANT among boxers, the great Sam Langford!" This takes on even more meaning when one realizes that my Grandfather was about 6 feet 7 inches tall, a full foot taller than Sam!

In a pound for pound sense I am inclined to lean your way.
