How are back-to-back wins against the literally #3 and #4 rated heavyweights tune-up fights?

no one (except AJ due to style and physicality) Usyk has beaten is making Frazier look like a child, he's mauling them

Frazier has never shown the ability to maul fighters he doesn't have a size advantage over. They'd run through him

Usyk? don’t impress me none. yeah he’s unbeaten but so what? the man formerly known as clay in 1960 still wet behind the ears had more spark and skill. I saw Sonny train with a medicine ball, smacking it into his gut to make it armor. even the old timers flinched watching that. now we laugh at these bloated boys like Usyk taking shaken up after curls and rowin machines that stuff don’t stop a punch from Shavers look how Quarry was built.

Joe was good and cut thru the contenders like a buzz saw. Chuvalo Bonavena Quarry Ellis. Fought Ali tougher then anyone up till then had. But he was not the new breed super heavyweight. 5 11 205. There was a new breed 6 2 6 3 210 215 220. He never beat one of those except the 1 out of 3 against Ali. The other he fought was Foreman and it was a complete mismatch.

Yeah that little guy Usyk is really good. Great boxer so proves size means nothing. Afterall he’s a tiny 6 2 1/2 220 lbs with 78 reach. Yeah surprised he’s not fighting as a junior welter.

Bugner was 6"4' and 221. That's above your quoted weights and height. Buster Mathis was 6"3' and 240.

Going on just size, there was also 6’3” 208 lbs Manuel Ramos who Joe defeated.

One can quibble about the quality of Ramos but…he was on a bit of an unbeaten streak and though Joe was wobbled, he quickly recovered and cleaned up the much dimensionally larger opponent inside 2 rounds.

And he struggled with both despite neither being great fighters and neither really had the power to trouble him

I'd back Joe against Usyk too. I rate Frazier a Top 10 heavyweight for sure and I give him the Bronze medal for 1970s heavies.

If you have Fraziers style of fighting you do it requires it otherwise well...... we've all watched the Foreman fight

I rate Holmes above Joe in an all time heavy list but in a head to head prime for prime one off fight I'd back Frazier to win over 15 rounds.

Joe was great and is in my top 10, but people are being realistic in picking him in fantasy fights. Like I just said in another thread that prime Liston would annihilate him because Liston is simply a terrible stylistic match for Joe, regardless of his toughness and heart.

    Great doesn’t mean invincible.
