I think a Ward fight was always possible if GGG defeated Canelo, i think that was always the rough plan. It just didn't pan out as expected. I think beating Hopkins title defense record and Canelo were very important, then a grand finally fight with Ward, win or lose was worth the risk.

That's only true if you think a 50 year old Floyd is better than a 2017-2018 Canelo. Because GGG deserved the decisions over him, as this thread indicates.

So if he got the deserved wins, then you think he would duck other challenges? Even when getting screwed he did fight Derevyanchenko and Murata at 37 and 40 years old respectively. He also fought Canelo at the age of 40.

Exactly fans of Floyd are so happy that GGG was robbed there is a sickness to them where they don't want any other fighters held in the same regard.

Loss #1 to Austin Trout, #2 Mayweather, #3 Lara, #4 Golovkin #5 Golovkin, #6 Bivol , Correct record 59-6-1 (39) still a 4 division champion and still undisputed 168lbs Champion. Golovkin would be 44-1 (37) with 24 consecutive defenses with (20) by ko. If he fought the same guy's he actually fought.

He couldn't hit Canelo with the straight right, it's has been a problem for him since he got slower with age (not the fastest to start with), he did the perfect gameplan to win, throw a shitload of punches, and fast weak right straights to score something besides jabs and uppercuts, keep canelo reacting and tired, canelo fought great and rise the challenge for him, i don't see how he could just go full power punches and not get outclassed, if he was younger he problably could push for a more explosive pace.

CLENELO lost to GGG in the first fight without a shadow of a doubt and anyone with a brain knows it

GGG should have at least 1 win over Canelo - likely 2. Then he ages out.
I don't see his career being that different. There wasn't the competition around.

You especially and a few others here are the ones who need to get their heads checked for both fanboy and haterism. On here talking crazy every day.

GGG had a nice run but got stopped in his tracks when he faced his first high quality opponent. Then got beat up by a little bitty Derevy. He and Lomachenko shouldn’t be in the same sentence as Mayweather or Pacquiao.

Stopped in his tracks? When did this happen? GGG was never dominated and only had close fights in his late 30's. You are the one with the haterism denying that the likes of GGG and Loma were screwed by corruption where your man Floyd was a massive benefactor of it.
