Ennis to move up to light middleweight

Bohachuk is the opposite of a perfect opponent for his first fight at 154.

 

History is not kind to older fighters trying to move back down in weight.

 

He's basically a bigger, stronger, better version of Stanionis

Ennis against Vergil Ortiz Jr or Bakhram Murtazaliev would be fireworks.

 

Boots will be the top dog at 154. Too many straight up and down pressure fighters there for him to jab senseless and use his angles to light up.

 

Good we'll finally see what he's made of there's some real killers at that weight.

Ennis will headline in Philadelphia in August / September. Don’t expect it to be against a world champion. They were talking about someone like Bohachuk (unless the WBC have ordered him to fight Ortiz Jr) and then the plan is for Ennis and Vergil Ortiz Jr to face-off in December / early 2026 on a Riyadh Season show.
