Hmmm....It's not as simple as that.Liston absorbed the punches of guys like Cleveland Williams
and Nino Valdes.Both men were considerably heavier punchers than Ali.
Also there is precious little evidence to suggest Wlad could take Liston's punches.
In fact all the evidence confirms that Sonny had a far more reliable chin than Wlad.

 

So Mcvey rates Liston highly ? So does practically every renowned boxing historian/commentator !

Just take your time & think about that fact that i don't care about upsetting you or your girlfriend. For all his mythicsl status his resume isn't very good & he generally outsized his opposition by some margin. Cope harder.

Nooooo.........you're now trying to deny that Cleveland Williams was in the same league
for punching power as Corrie Sanders. It is unlikely,very unlikely,that Liston would have been
dismantled by Sanders in the same shattering way that Wlad was.
