It doesn't always happen but I really like the aspect of boxing where there is a war inside the ring and then respect and a hug the moment the fight is over.

His corner didn't. They should have thrown in the towel. This coming from a guy that said let it continue.

 

Hes too old to rebuild. He needs a year off of boxing to fully recover from this fight, but I doubt he will take it - he would be 33 by that time. It´s all downhill from here.
Even tho he made it the distance tonight, there is a good chance that his chin has been cracked.

 

Yafai should have been pulled out. Rodriguez went 12 rounds with Nakataini 2 weight divisions above at 118.

Yafai had 0 success in the 2nd half of the fight.

I like Yafai and this was really hard to watch. I am surprised non of the people ringside are concerned for his health. This was a horrible, life changing beating. I don't think he will ever be the same again.

As for Rodriguez. The fact that he can fight like this. Like he did against Takayama so long ago, is just amazing. Him against Teraji (should Kenshiro beat Sandoval), would be absolute bananas.

Chihuas' longevity is ridiculous. I remember him looking shot to hell at various points in his career, like when he was held to a draw by Pinoy journeyman Jomar Fajardo in their first encounter.
