And the respective ages fighters turn pro at too. The only reason 135 is Loma's 3rd weight class is because he turned pro way later than Inoue did. Had he tu5rned pro at 19 like Inoue, Crawford, and so many other multi-weight champions did or even younger at 15, 16, 17, or 18, 135 would be at least his 6th weight class and had he turned pro at 16 or 17 it would be like his 8th or maybe 9th because he was campaigning at Atomweight back then. It's astonishing some people still don't get this or choose to ignore it. All you have to do is look at the size of Inoue compared to his opponents at 118 and 122 (and I'm not saying he hasn't been fighting bigger men or even much bigger sometimes) and Crawford and his opponents at 147, 154 and even vs Clenelo and then compare it to Loma at 135. Loma is tiny for 135 and all those guys are much or way bigger than him, whereas, conversely, there is no real noticeable size difference between them and theirs even if, in Inoue's case they do weigh considerably more than him. Neither Inoue or Crawford have ever looked undersized for their weight classes
Loma took bombs by the 135lbs version of Teo, who hit like a truck at that weight, but Inoue sparks him.
These boxing hipster Inoue fanboys have no idea what kind of monster they've unleashed. I take this to social media and Inoue is done. Game over. Finito. Nothing he has achieved or goes onto achieve from here on will be valued by anyone. He won't even make his own father's P4P top 10 by the time I've finished doing what I do
It's comical. This is what Teofimo was doing to natural 135 pounders and fellow weight bully 140 pounder/147 pounders. Commey used to come in at 154lbs and was teak-tough This content is protected Imagine how many time zones Teo (who is an actual athletic phenom and was very explosive, fast and powerful at 135 and with excellent skills) would send Inoue's head hurtling through when he caught him with a flush shot
I need to lose about 30lbs but I can punch and there's no way a fighter the size of a young child is knocking me out.
Yeah 12 KOs in 21 fights he’s a real knock out machine. And oh yeah Loma’s resume is just loaded with guys like Fulton, Nery, Donaire… oh wait not only did he not beat those guys but he lost to a subpar fighter. Lomas best wins at 135 are kambosos and Campbell. If inoue fought that level of opposition he would EASILY be a 6 division champion, so it’s no wonder Loma managed to become 3 division. He’d fail against the real champs at 140 and did at 135. FYI 118+122 is about the same size as 135. Comparing it to women’s weights is crazy. Feather fists? Inoue, junto, yabuki, teraji, bam all punch harder than lomachenko pfp. Inoue beat Donaire and Nery, harder punchers than anyone Loma beat. you complain about the weight inoue moved up but he moved up 14 in 4. Loma moved up 9 in 3. If he moved up another weight class he’d be 14 in 4. Also. Inoue fought the future #1 at 108 taguchi, the #1 at 115 Narvaez, the #1 besides himself donaire (twice) and the #1 at 122 Fulton. Guess who got titles by fighting weak opposition? Yes, not inoue, Loma Besides that, inoue has beat 3/3 of the best at 122 and 4/5 of the best at 118. Weight records show inoue is giving up weight at 118 and 122. Easy to look up Lopez and Haney have thin resumes besides Loma. Loma turns B fighters into A fighters.
Nah Lopez has a good resume, but he has had pretty bad performances and Haney getting starched by Garcia is also pretty bad for Lomas resume, because at the end of the day Loma/Haney was a close fight. Linares is better than Campbell, Walters, Rigondeaux and Russell were good wins
ehh. It’s good not very good without Loma. Nery beat a better fighter than Taylor (Yamanaka, #8 pfp) and you never saw him getting hype like Lopez. Taylor was in reality coming off a loss too. And sure, take your pick of gatekeepers. And I was talking 135 as you know but I don’t rate the rigo win anyway. Walters is probably the only win in his career worth more than a shrug
You're talking like you've never looked at Boxrec in your life. Japan have 80 current welterweights! That's far more than 97% of countries! They have the 5th highest number of current welterweights of all countries in the world! Only 4 countries have more welterweights than Japan. Stop the excuses, man. When the divisions get more global, and a more higher number of boxers -ie more competition from the better boxing nations. The Japanese get weaker, it's a clear fact.
I do find that funny, Crawford is much bigger, but when they stand side by side Loma isn't dwarfed at all. Difference between him and Rigondeaux looks bigger.... Tank should have fought Loma much earlier, but he lacks the minerals. Only now is Tank getting froggy. I agree that even this minute, off-the-couch, Lomachenko has a good chance to beat Tank. Probably better than 50/50. However, after that horrendous Haney DEI bull**** decision, what do you think is in Loma's head? You think he's confident about being able to win other than by KO? I don't blame him for retiring.
