Precisely! He did call the shots later and make fights mostly on his terms, but he did beat many great guys and I remember watching him before he was money may and chased the big fights

As far as talent goes, he is deep in the conversation as one of the very highest skilled

Just look at the above for pure technique. He has beaten better fighters, but for me this was Floyd in his prime

This and Corrales fights are my favourite.

Mine too, also like the Canelo schooling and enjoy the fight with Cotto. Cotto was one of my favourite fighters and he pushed Floyd hard

You can despise the person and admire the ability
Despite being a man utd fan I am no lover of Ronaldo, but I would never deny his level of greatness

Those same tactics would school Canelo even today too IMO.

Canelo's IQ has not evolved that much as a fighter

It was a total clinic but Canelo was never in danger of being stopped by Floyd

If he follows the blue print of making Canelo weigh in at 152 then he has a great chance.

Agree with the Corrales fight but Floyd was a huge favorite over Gatti who had already taken a severe beating from Oscar and Gatti didn't show up to the final press conference coz he was totally wasted.

Bud will doubtless watch the tape if he can not recite it to you from memory (this is the commitment of a high level professional in anything). Bud is not Floyd, however and this Canelo is not that Canelo.

Well he looked just as lost and confused against Floyd as he did against Bivol. Almost mirror images really. Canelo just has no plan b does he? If what he's doing isn't working he still just keeps doing the same wrong thing. I think thats where Crawford just has an absolutely massive edge on him.

 Canelo has an elite chin, and he is almost untouchable when he goes on the defensive. Even Bivol struggled to land clean on a dead tired Canelo.

I think Canelo was old enough in the Money fight but the real problem was he was weight drained as an already massive drainer.
Money was definitely post prime at 36 but PEDs are a funny thing when it comes to age. Ask Beter about them.
If Money faced the 'Now I'm ready for MW' Canelo, he'd likely have been TKO'd. Money had a good chin, didn't he, but do you think he's taking the shot Saunders did which busted his face bones? Maybe! Great fighter.

Bud is a great fighter too, one of the greatest of all time probably. And he's getting Canelo a bit old now, so you just never know. But Canelo isn't drained here and has some pretty nifty substances. It's amazing how all those SMW's got beat up by a former Welter like Canelo. Could be technique improvements.

If Canelo isn't too old I suppose it might look like the Saunders fight where Canelo was getting skooled yo in a few rounds, but then he landed some big ones and it was over pretty quick. I doubt it looks like the Khan fight since I think Bud has some great whiskers like Money.

Canelo might regret that 18 foot ring.

That is complete nonsense. Mungia and even Ryder were landing lots of clean power shots on Canelo. This head movement has become a mythical thing now. Canelo wasn't wearing shades after the Ryder fight for fun. Look at Ryder styling on him and the state of Canelo's face.

I said when he goes on the defensive, as in he is only focused on defense. Ain´t no one stopping him at 168, especially someone from a lower weight class.
People cant even hurt him, let alone finish him. Never been knocked down, visibly only been hurt once in his whole career. Opponents typically land less punches against Canelo than their other opponents.

So no, Floyd would not have gotten him out of there if he just tried a bit harder. And Crawford wont do so either.

If someone gets him out there it will be the way Manny got Oscar out of there.
