Don't take The Hall of Fame so literally, it's not the ****ing Chinese Theatre Hollywood Walk of Fame FFS! If it was a legit HOF, Joshua, Fury and Wilder wouldn't be anywhere near it. It should be for history's immortals but the HOF is a joke. So they'll all get in.

There's little to suggest Wilder was top 5 in his own era.

Though I agree with the logic, I have to disagree with the statement. AJ will get the nod due to accomplishments. They aren't going to look at the mental factor heavily with any performances. They look at how you competed and what you accomplished while doing so. One of my favorite fighters literally said "No Mas" in a rematch vs arguably his best opponent and yet he got the nod with no questions asked because of his accomplishments and/or how he competed throughout his career.

Yeah, I’m sure during the entirety of his career, there were 5 heavyweights who deserved to be ranked higher….

I bet the first time he fought Fury, you were screaming “why’s Fury fighting a bum! He should be fighting someone ranked higher!” Weren’t you?

Nah you weren’t, because no one was…

He didn't accomplish very much. People's perception can't trump his actual poor resume. There were concerns over his resume when he faced Fury.

Going into the Parker fight people were picking Wilder to win. How did that pan out?

He accomplished quite a bit, but his resume is indeed lacking. But the question was whether he was a top 5 heavyweight - to which I’d say he clearly was - as evidenced by everyone hoping for a fight between him and the other consensus top 2…. Rather than literally any other heavyweight…
