Usyk is not the head to head GOAT. Fighting once a year for 5 years and rematching the same opponents all the time won’t give him that tag. His number just never came up because he hadn’t been put through the wringer fighting on a regular basis but July 19th he will be defeated.

Nothing in the fight is smelling like an upset. The Dubois/Charles champ has talked you into a narrative. Dubois used his hack-job tactics and headbutted-low blowed his way to wins over the mediocre Miller and Hrgovic, and devastated a Joshua who is already thrice-beaten, twice by Usyk. Now all of a sudden the man who made Dubois quit with a jab and gifted him a charity belt is ready to go.

Parker is a great fight that needs to happen, but Kabayel is not there yet, and I have been a fan since he beat Chisora.

Ask yourself, if you were Usyk, would you gain anything from a guy whose best wins were Makhmudov, Sanchez, Chisora and Zhang? It's a good crew, but not one that makes you a history making guy.

Now Parker-YEAH! former WBO titlist with wins over Ruiz, Wilder, Zhang, Chisora, Bakole...throw in Dimentenko, Takam, Botha, Meehan, Fa, Leapai, Hughfury for depth.

Parker has earned the chance, and I hope Usyk wakes up are realizes that this is the only fight left that can increase his legacy, so they both have reasons to do it.

 

different kind of risk. The risk from Parker is being outboxed. Which, honestly, isn’t likely to happen to Usyk. The risk from Kabayel is him punching you in your liver so hard that it exits your body through your anus, and then getting cracked in the jaw as your liver exits.

on resume he isn’t there yet, but in terms of risk, Kabayel kind of looks like a boogeyman. I’d love to see him fight Bakole. They’d stand center ring and slug until one fell over. Would be epic.

What I am drawing attention too is that Parker is a good notch in Usyk's belt to create a legacy, Kabayel is not. So if he really does have one fight or maybe two after Dubois, it makes sense for him to fight Parker.

Kabayel just does't have historical wins.

No, once he retires and the dust settles then he will rightly be considered an ATG cruiserweight and top 20 HW. H2H GOAT is insane, though; his best wins at HW are Fury, who nearly lost to Ngannou, and Joshua, who was a shell after his loss to Ruiz. Fighters tend to get overrated when they're active, but in post-retirement, we get a better idea of where they sit. Usyk is at that top table though, no doubt.
